An illumination device for an optical device, a microscope or a macroscope includes a first illumination source configured to emit light which is directed via an illumination beam path onto an object to be illuminated that is arranged in an object plane. At least one second illumination source is positionable in the illumination beam path, and is transparent or semitransparent as well as self-luminous. The at least one second illumination source is configured to allow light emitted from the first illumination source to pass through at least in part. The object plane having the object to be illuminated is configured to be illuminated both by the first and by the at least one second illumination source.

Illumination device

A tube for a microscope includes an adaptation interface, a rotatable operator interface, a beam deflecting device, and a rotatable beam deflecting unit. The beam deflecting device includes a beam-splitting device. A rotation of the operator interface is constrainedly coupled to a rotation of the beam deflecting unit. The beam deflecting device deflects, in the direction of the beam deflecting unit, a light beam coming from the adaptation interface.

Tube for a microscope

The application relates to an ergonomic tube for a microscope. A binocular head is provided on the tube. A deflection element is provided in the tube and a deflection mirror is assigned to the element, the mirror being located behind the optical path of the lens, when viewed from the user's position. A single tube-lens system is positioned in the optical path of the tube. A modification to the inclination of the oclar optical path in relation to the horizontal (H) by a value &#x3b1;causes the position of the deflection mirror to be modified by an angle &#x3b1;/2.

The invention relates to a microscope eyepiece with theoretically reduced astigmatism in a compensating optical system. The inventive eyepiece has 10&times; magnification, a sight field (SFZ)&lE;25 and a Petzval sum (SP) of 0.014&lE;SP&lE;0.021. Said eyepiece comprises a special field lens placed in front of a field stop and a negative lens in the eye lens section placed behind said field stop. The inventive field lens is embodied in the form of a simple, thick, positively diffracting meniscus which is convex in relation to the field stop and provided with the following field lens factor: 0.95&lE;beta&prime;&lE;1.05. The eye lens section can be displaced in relation to the field stop to enable diotropic adjustment. Special, advantageous embodiments of the field lens and examples of embodiments of the microscope eyepiece, complete with structural data, are described.
