A hearing aid () comprising a behind-the-ear part (), an in-the-ear part () and a connecting part () connecting the behind-the-ear part and the in-the-ear part. The in-the-ear part comprises a first end () adapted to be aligned in the ear canal in a direction towards the ear drum when in use, and a second end () adapted to abutting a part of the ear outside the ear canal when in use. At least one side wall () is arranged between said first end () and said second end (). The direction from a centre of the first end to a centre of the second end defines an axis. The connecting part () is attached to the side wall and is extending from this side wall in an angle to the axis between 20-70 degrees. The invention also provides a receiver unit for a hearing aid and a method for fitting a hearing aid.

Behind the ear hearing aid

An ear plug () for a hearing aid is made of a resilient material and provided with an extraction cord () for providing a grip by which a user can pull the ear plug () out of an ear canal. The extraction cord () is arranged partly in the resilient material and partly outside the ear plug. A securing bulge () is arranged on the part of the extraction cord arranged in the resilient material, in order to secure the position of the extraction cord in the resilient material. The extraction cord is bonded to the resilient material. The invention further concerns a method for manufacturing the ear plug.

A soft custom ear mold () comprising: an inner ear mold part () consisting of a first bushing (), a sound tube () and an ear wax guard bushing (), and an outer ear mold part () that is adapted to fit an individual ear canal and comprises a sound conduit having holding means adapted to engage said inner part (). The holding means defines the correct positioning of said inner part () in the sound conduit of said outer part () whereby a precise and stable positioning of the ear wax guard bushing () in the soft custom ear mold () is provided. The invention also relates to a hearing aid comprising such an ear mold (), a method for manufacturing such an ear mold and a tool for carrying out a part of said manufacturing method.

Method of manufacturing a soft custom ear mold and a soft custom ear mold

A hearing aid () with an ear canal part prepared for being arranged in the ear canal. The ear canal part has a sound opening provided with a bushing () for receiving an ear wax guard. The bushing comprises an inner tubular part () for receiving the ear wax guard, where the inner tubular part is extending inward from the plane formed by the sound opening. The bushing further comprises an outer tubular part () extending inward from this plane. The outer tubular part and the inner tubular part are arranged such that a space is formed in between. This space is adapted for receiving a sound guide ().

A behind-the-ear hearing aid () comprises a housing (), an ear piece () and a custom earplug (), the custom earplug being adapted to fit the ear canal of an individual hearing aid user, the ear piece having a connector for connecting with the custom earplug, the connector and the earpiece having means for snap fitting engagement and means for defining the mutual rotational orientation. The invention further provides a custom earpiece for a hearing aid.

Hearing aid and an ear piece for a hearing aid

A method for manufacturing a hearing aid component adapted for fitting in the auditory canal of a hearing aid user, the hearing aid component having a covering of resilient material on at least part of its outside surface and having an inner sound conveying part, the method including the steps of acquiring data representing the shape of the auditory canal of the user; forming a three-dimensional computer model of the shape of the hearing aid component based on the acquired data; forming a three-dimensional computer model of a mould for casting the covering; manufacturing the mould in a rapid prototyping process based on the three-dimensional model; casting the covering in the mould; removing the mould from the covering; and forming the hearing aid component by joining the covering with the inner sound conveying part.

Method for manufacturing a hearing aid having a custom fitted resilient component

A hearing aid earpiece () is provided, that is custom fitted to the individual shape of the ear canal of a user and manufactured in a rapid prototyping process. The earpiece comprises a sound conduit () that is adapted for conveying an acoustic signal from an acoustic inlet port towards an acoustic outlet port and wherein the sound conduit is looped such that at least one geometrical plane will intersect the sound conduit at least three times thereby providing a length of the sound conduit exceeding a largest outer dimension of the hearing aid earpiece. The invention also relates to a hearing aid comprising such a hearing aid earpiece and a method for manufacturing such an earpiece.
