A holder () receives and stores laboratory vessels for samples, microorganisms, cell cultures or the like, with a housing (), and at least one receptacle () for the laboratory vessels. The receptacle () extends along a loading axis (L) in the housing () and is configured such that the laboratory vessels can be introduced into the receptacle () and can be stacked on top of each other therein, wherein the receptacle () in the housing () has a loading opening () to permit loading. On an underside () arranged remote from the loading opening (), the receptacle () has an unloading opening (), which can be closed by means of a closure mechanism () arranged in the housing (). The closure mechanism () is provided with a slide (), via which the slide () is movable to the unloading opening () to permit closure and is movable from the unloading opening () to an opening position to permit opening.

Holder for receiving and storing laboratory vessels

Embodiments of a system box for holding a bag system and methods for separating composite liquids are described. In embodiments, a bag system may be a blood bag system used to collect blood, separate the blood into components, store the components, and utilize the components in patients. The system box may hold the blood bag system. Processes can then be performed to separate components from the blood.

Composite liquid bag system holder

A centrifuge having a driveshaft that has an end section that tapers toward the central axis of the driveshaft. A rotor is removably mounted on the driveshaft such that the rotor may be axially removed in a removal direction. A bearing surface of a locking element of the rotor is connected to the driveshaft and holds the rotor against removal. A quick-action closure is integrated into the rotor and prevents removal of the driveshaft and the rotor in the removal direction. The end section of the driveshaft extends through an opening in the rotor where it is partially surrounded by multiple locking elements of the rotor for fixing the rotor and the driveshaft together. The locking elements include bearing surfaces engaging the end section and support surfaces engaging the rotor. The quick-action closure has force-transmitting elements which connect the locking elements to a handle permitting locking and/or unlocking the quick-action closure by a respective movement of the handle.

The invention pertains to a cassette () comprising a product conveying path () and a positioning means () engageable with a counter-piece on a centrifuge having a rotor for separating blood components or on a system component () arranged in a centrifuge. The invention pertains to a cassette () comprising a product conveying path () and a shut-off device () integrated into the cassette for interrupting a product flow. The shut-off device is arranged at a rim of the cassette such that the shut-off device () can be directly operated manually and/or mechanically. The product-conveying path () leads through the shut-off device (). The cassette consists of a lower part () and an upper part () which are connectable to each other by connecting means ().

A cartridge () for accommodating blood bags () to be inserted into a centrifuge is used for the separation of blood components. Cartridge and centrifuge having a cartridge

The invention refers to a centrifuge for separating whole blood into its blood components and a method for extracting a highly enriched thrombocyte concentrate out of whole blood. For this purpose, the centrifuge comprises a closed loop and/or open-loop control unit as well as a drive unit coupled to the closed loop and/or open-loop control unit, a rotor () having at least two container receptacles () for removably holding containers () being in fluid communication with each other, at least one sensor arranged between the container receptacles () and coupled with the closed loop and/or open-loop control unit for detecting a separation layer. Herein, a motor/gear unit () coupled to the closed loop and/or open-loop control unit is associated with each of the container receptacles (). Each of the motor/gear units is in operational contact through means () with each of the containers () supported in the respective container receptacle () such that a transfer and back-transfer of blood components between the containers () is initiated.

Centrifuge for separating of whole blood into blood components as well as fluidically communicating containers for insertion into the centrifuge, as well as a method for obtaining a highly enriched thrombocyte concentrate out of whole blood

The invention relates to a cartridge () for accommodating blood bags (), which is provided for the separation of blood components for the application in a centrifuge. The cartridge () has a partition wall () which separates a blood bag section () positioned radially inside from a product section () positioned radially outside, and a cover () disposed in a mounting position above the blood bag section (). The cover () is connected to the partition wall () pivotally in a first point () and detachably in a second point (), so that the blood bag section () is freely accessible by means of laterally pivoting the cover () out of the way. The cartridge is applicable in the rotor of a centrifuge.

The invention provides a device () for feeding sample containers () with an analysis sample (P) to be treated, to a treating apparatus () for treating the analysis sample (P), in particular to a centrifuge. The device comprises a conveyer () for conveying at least one sample container () or at least one carrier containing a sample container (), wherein the conveyer () is configured for receiving multiple sample containers () and/or carriers and forms a circulating endless conveyer track. The device further comprises an input station () for handing over a sample container () or a carrier to the conveyer ().
