Weatherseal includes two contact elements at a base portion or a domed profile portion that are coextruded electrically conductive profile portions separated by insulating profile portions, the contact elements being oriented in a longitudinal direction along the hollow profile and protruding into a hollow chamber. The contact elements have electrically conductive contact surface areas arranged at an inner side of the profile portion or at the base portion the contact surface area being coextruded electrically conductive profile portions. Contact of the contact elements and/or the contact surface areas together with the contact elements activates a switching action for controlling a drive assembly of a closing device.

In a sealing system for sealing the side window panes of a vehicle against the vehicle hood, particularly in cabriolets, by lateral rigid roof frame parts, extending longitudinally, as part of the folding hood rod assembly, for the purpose of equalizing tolerances in sealing the window panes provision is made, according to the invention, that angular window guide profiles capable of vertical, longitudinal and horizontal adjustment and with sealing lips which bear against the window pane and a sealing lip projecting laterally towards the hood, are screwed on to the outer faces of the roof frame parts.

With a sealing arrangement for the gap between the rigid cover of a vehicle roof and the roof opening, by which the cover, comprised of a glass panel, is glued on its rim area to an underlying base frame that protrudes at the side, and which is connected between glass panel periphery and roof opening with a gap seal having a protruding edge of the base frame, a simpler assembly with fewer individual components is provided in compliance with the invention's specifications in that the gap seal (3) features a U-shaped clamping area (13), provided with a reinforcement made of an elastomer, having an overlapping lip-shaped protrusion (15) over the edge of the glass panel (2), as well as a sealing lip (17) running around the edge of the glass panel (2) on the side of the clamping area (13), as well as a hollow chamber profile (20) of sponge rubber that is extruded onto the other side, and that the gap seal is secured with its U-shaped clamping area (13) onto a vertically protruding edge (12) of the base frame (10).

The invention relates to a simple manufacturing process for a rigid cover for a vehicle roof with a peripheral seal along the roof opening, comprised of a glass panel, which is connected with the base frame at the rim area with an underlying and protruding seal, and to which is fastened a peripheral aluminum frame which exhibits a gap seal feature on the exterior side, which is characterized by the glass panel 2 (comprised of two connected panes 6 and 7, the lower 7 of which is larger and protrudes sidewards beyond the upper pane 6), which is enclosed with a gap between the base frame 10 with its vertically protruding rim 11 and the lower pane 7. Furthermore, the approximately T-shaped aluminum frame 12 with one side covers the lower glass panel 7, and the other side features an undercut groove 17 for incorporation of the tongue-shaped base 24 of the gap seal 3, through which the space between the protruding rim 11 of the base frame 10, the edges 8 of the cover panes 6 and 7, and the T-shaped aluminum frame 12 can be injected with a polyurethane material.

In order to facilitate manufacture and assembly of a rigid cover for a vehicle roof with a peripheral seal opposite of the roof opening there is provided according to the invention that the gap seal (3) is manufactured from an elastomer and in the shape of a coextruded profile with a profile area (10) comprising the glass panel (2) and the rim (16) of the base frame (15), and has a U-shaped reinforcement (20) on the inside and a profile area on the inside in the shape of a hollow chamber seal (22) made of sponge rubber, which is delivered as one module with the four corners (30-33) flexed into a frame (6) still open on the posterior lateral side; during assembly this module will be laterally attached to the rim of the other module consisting of glass panel (2) and base frame (15), and the open frame ends (7, 8) are glued and screwed together (FIG. 2).

Power-operated closing devices, particularly electrically operated windows and sunroofs of motor vehicles, have two electrical conductors being spaced apart from each other for disengaging a switching process of a drive unit when brought into contact. For the purposes of simple manufacture and reliable contact-making, a trapping protector is provided, which includes a flexible hollow profile made of an elastomer or plastic material having a flat base area and a mounted arched profile area enclosing a hollow chamber. The base area and a zenith area of the arched profile area include conductive material and are separated from each other by insulating profile areas.

For easier manufacture and simpler assembly out of fewer individual components there is provided in this process for the manufacture of a rigid cover for a vehicle roof, with a peripheral seal opposite the roof opening and a glass panel glued to a base frame protruding out the side, on which frame is secured a peripheral, approximately T-shaped aluminum frame with a gap seal running between it and the roof opening, that the gap seal (3) be manufactured in the shape of a coextruded profile with an interior, vertically extending profile area (12) of an elastomer, and an exterior hollow chamber profile (13), made of sponge rubber and in the shape of a peripheral piece, which is connected to the exterior side (19) of the vertical leg of the T-shaped aluminum frame (15), after which this finished module is set on the protruding edge area of the other module, comprising glass panel (1) and base frame(10), and both modules are screwed together (FIG. 2 ).
