The aim of the invention is to optimize, in vacuum interrupters, the connection area () between housing parts (), which are coaxially assigned to one another, with regard to the complexity of production for centering measures and with regard to the execution of the soldering process. To this end, a ring-like discoidal centering means () is used, which is made of a silver-coated copper and which comprises centering lugs () located on a tubular flange () that is arranged on the inner periphery of the centering means. Said centering lugs extend in an axial direction of the coaxial assignment and are provided in the form of tabs that point toward the ring-like discoidal area () of the centering means. The centering means is thereby overlapped by a tubular copper part, which is joined to the centering means and which serves as a shielding () inside the vacuum interrupter.

A vacuum interrupter with a tubular insulator, to dielectrically optimize the fixing of a vapor shield which is provided at an encircling step of the ceramic insulator. A holding ring is assigned to the vapor shield and has a cylindrical region, which is supported on the step, and an inwardly projecting collar, one end of the vapor shield being flanged onto the collar.

In order to simplify the soldering process in the production of a vacuum-tight soldered joint between a ceramic component and a copper component, a layer of silver is first applied galvanically to the copper component to form the soldering material together with the underlying surface layer of the copper component. During the heat treatment required for soldering metal components can also be soldered in the same manner to the copper component, e.g. the bellows or the screen of a vacuum switching tube.

A vacuum interrupter is provided. The vacuum interrupter includes a housing part that surrounds contact members and a vapor shield associated with the insulator, the housing part and the vapor shield are designed as one piece. A transition from the housing part to the vapor shield is undulated, so that a linear contact with one end face of the insulator results.

A vacuum tube including a getter apparatus is provided. The getter apparatus includes a sheet-like support with an applied getter layer which is used to maintain vacuum in the vacuum tube during operation. The support has the shape of a strip, and is positioned in a groove of a shield or a contact pin of the vacuum tube. The support is immobilized using impressions of the groove rim.

A vacuum switch tube wherein at least one part which separates the interior of the tube from the environment is soldered to the housing of a vacuum switch tube so as to be vacuum-tight with a soft solder 6 which has a melting point which lies below 400.degree. C. The invention is suitable for vacuum switch tubes which do not have a pump stem, and particularly for protected tubes.
