The invention pertains to a device and a method for producing hollow bodies that are open on one side of predominantly plane material blanks by erecting and gluing their sides along prepared bending edges, wherein said device features a shaft that is arranged directly downstream of the erecting elements and accommodates the hollow bodies in order to cure the glued joints, and wherein the products are spaced apart from one another during their transport within the shaft. The transport device provided for this purpose preferably acts directly upon the glued edges or areas located adjacent thereto such that the glued joint is continuously stabilized during the curing process.

Device and method for erecting predominantly plane material blanks

The apparatus () includes a horizontally supported transport drum (), spaced-apart endless belts () that revolve around rollers (to) and are partially wrapped around the transport drum () such that an infeed () and an outlet () are formed and the cardboard cuttings () are pressed against and conveyed on the drum. Groove cutting tools () are arranged between the belts (). In order to allow a visual inspection of the cut grooves () from above during the operation of the apparatus, the outlet () is situated in the region of the upper vertex of the transport drum (). The delivery of the grooved cardboard cuttings () at the upper vertex of the transport drum () also results in an ergonomically advantageous removal height.

Apparatus for grooving cardboard cuttings

A device () for grooving cardboard cuttings () that features a driven, horizontally supported transport drum () and spaced-apart endless belts () that revolve around rollers (to) and effectively convey the cardboard cuttings () by pressing them against the drum shell. Groove cutting tools () are arranged between the belts () at a defined distance from the drum shell and make it possible to produce grooves with essentially triangular cross section in the cardboard cuttings (). In order to adjust the aperture angle of the grooves independently of one another, the adjustment of the angle within the respective groove cutting tool () is realized by curved guides (). The center of curvature () of the curved guide () lies in the region of the drum shell, as well as in the region of the blade tip () of the knife (), such that the aperture angle and the depth of the groove can be adjusted independently of one another.

Device for grooving cardboard cuttings

A conveying device () for vertically transporting piece goods () with inner and outer conveying means () and several platforms () that are coupled to the conveying means. The piece goods are fed to the platforms horizontally in a receiving region (), the platforms lie horizontally while lifted in a lift region (), and the platforms deliver the piece goods horizontally at a delivery region to a delivery conveyor (). The conveying means are driven with a varying transport speed (F), such that the platforms pass through the deflecting region () between the lift and discharge regions with a slower transport speed (F) while the platforms move with a faster transport speed (F) before and after they pass through the deflecting region. The varying transport speed (F) preferably has a period (P) which corresponds to the same mutual distance (T) between the platforms.

Conveying device for vertically transporting piece goods

A device for destacking books, brochures, or similar cubic printed products (), wherein said device comprises a separating belt () that is powered by a controllable drive and serves for the cyclic separation of the respective bottom printed product () from the stack (), lateral boundaries () that can be adjusted to the respective format and position the stack () on the separating belt (), a height-adjustable retaining element () that forms a passage for the respective printed product () to be separated, a support () in the infeed region of the separating belt () in order to support the rear edge of the printed product () lying on top of the bottom printed product during the separation of the bottom printed product (), and a feeding belt () that is arranged upstream of the separating belt () and serves for delivering the next stack () into the separating position. In order to reliably and flawlessly separate, in particular, thick book blocks with a small format from high stacks, the destacking device () features at least one supporting element () that is arranged at a defined distance behind the stack () and can be moved out of the transport path during the delivery of the next stack (). The supporting element automatically moves out of the transport path during the delivery of the next stack ().

Device for destacking cubic printed products

The disclosed device includes a feed conveyor (), on which printed products () are transported within certain distances from one another, a turning section () with a path guide arranged tangentially downstream of the feed conveyor and a delivery conveyor () for the turned printed products () that extends underneath the feed conveyor () in the opposite transport direction. Lateral guides () are assigned to the path guides () and can be adjusted to the format width of the printed products (). The delivery conveyor () is a suction conveyor belt with at least one suction segment () in the region of the delivery point of the turning section () in order to decelerate the printed products () to the transport speed of the delivery conveyor ().

Device for turning continuously transported, flat lying printed products

The invention pertains to a conveyor with profiled cheeks consisting of at least one profiled member that is manufactured from light metal and contains longitudinal hollow spaces that are partly realized in the form of sliding block channels, and of a cover for closing a cable channel arranged in the cheek. The invention proposes that the profiled member has an L-shaped base cross section with an upper limb that points outward in the operative position, that a sheet metal member is mounted on the base part in order to form the lower limb of the C-shaped base cross section of the cheek, wherein the sheet metal member contains openings that are spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction, and that the cover is removably arranged on the two limbs. Cables and lines can lead into and out of the closed cable channel through the openings without having to produce openings on the profiled member or the cover by way of mechanical processing. A two-part cable channel is formed by the upper limb of the C-shaped sheet metal member used.
