A parallel assembly of chromatography column modules, the assembly having one common assembly inlet and one common assembly outlet, each column module comprising a bed space filled with chromatography medium and each column module comprises integrated fluid conduits which when the column module is connected with other column modules are adapted to connect the bed space of the column module with the assembly inlet and the assembly outlet, wherein the total length and/or volume of the fluid conduit from the assembly inlet to one bed space together with the length and/or volume of the fluid conduit from the same bed space to the assembly outlet is substantially the same for all bed spaces and modules installed in the parallel assembly.

Disclosed is an optical flow cell and a method for bioprocessing applications. The optical flow cell comprises a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a fluid flow channel provided between said fluid inlet and said fluid outlet. The optical flow cell also comprises an output optical waveguide configured to emit light into said fluid flow channel, and a collector optical waveguide to collect light from said fluid flow channel. An optical path-length adjuster for varying the optical pathlength between said output optical waveguide and said collector optical waveguide is also provided.

The present disclosure relates to a biological fluid processing system and method. The system comprises a fluid processing device comprising at least one fluid path, a pump for providing a pressure in the at least one fluid path, a valve arranged along said fluid path and a first actuator arranged to control the valve to assume a desired opening state of said fluid path. The invention discloses a method of controlling a transmembrane pressure (TMP) in a crossflow filtration apparatus, comprising the steps of: a) providing a crossflow filtration apparatus comprising a pump () fluidically connected via a retentate compartment () of a crossflow filter () and a length of flexible tubing to a regulator valve (1; 101) acting on the flexible tubing, wherein the regulator valve is a high precision pinch valve.
