Various embodiments may relate to a lighting device, including an excitation radiation source and a two-sided luminescent-material wheel. At least one luminescent material is provided on each of the two sides of the two-sided luminescent-material wheel, thus both on the front side and on the opposite back side. The luminescent materials on both sides are excited sequentially in time. For this purpose, at least one transmissive region is provided in the rotating luminescent-material wheel, through which transmissive region the excitation radiation can radiate, which excitation radiation can be deflected onto the luminescent material on the back side by means of an optical unit.

Lighting device having phosphor wheel and excitation radiation source

A lighting device comprising a pump laser matrix () and a phosphor arrangement. The pump laser matrix () is configured to emit pump radiation () having a controllable pump radiation power distribution for the irradiation of the phosphor arrangement (). The phosphor arrangement () comprises at least two different phosphors (R, Y, G) which can be irradiated with the pump radiation () and re-emit said pump radiation in a manner such that it is at least partly and in each case differently wavelength-converted. The lighting device () is configured to generate, with the aid of the pump laser matrix (), a controllable distribution of the surface power density of the pump radiation on the phosphors (R, Y, G) of the phosphor arrangement ().

Lighting device with a pump laser matrix, and method for operating said lighting device

A lighting apparatus has a light source emitting primary light; a reflector device with first and second focal points; a rotatable light wheel with two functional regions; a primary light device irradiated by the light source and having functionally assigned to it one of the functional regions as a primary light functional region, the first focal point being located at the primary light device; a utility light device to which is functionally assigned another of the functional regions as a utility light functional region, the second focal point being located at the utility light device; a primary light functional region having in a first rotational position of the light wheel at least one phosphor sensitive to the primary light; and a utility light functional region being transmissive to the light whose wavelength is converted by the primary light functional region.

Lighting apparatus

A dual fluorescent wheel with two disk-shaped carrier elements which are interconnected by wing-type cooling ribs is disclosed. When the dual fluorescent wheel rotates, air flows in through an axial opening in one of the carrier elements, the air flows radially through the interspace between the carrier elements or the wing-type cooling ribs and flows out at the edge. This airflow improves the dissipation of heat which is produced when an excitation laser irradiates the annular fluorescent strips located on the two exterior faces.

In various exemplary embodiments, an illumination arrangement is provided, including a light source for providing laser light and a diffusely reflective material and/or a phosphorescent material and/or a fluorescent material, which is arranged on a surface in the illumination arrangement in such a way that light provided by the light source impinges on the material, wherein the surface forms a hollow body having one or more partial surfaces which are arranged in a manner facing one another at least in part in such a way that light reflected or generated by material arranged on one partial surface impinges at least partly on material arranged on the same or another partial surface of the surface, and both the incidence of the laser light and the emission of the reflected or generated light are effected via the same surface of the one or more partial surfaces.

Optical element and lighting device

A luminous device with at least one rotatable luminous region carrier having at least two luminous regions and a first light source and a second light source, each for irradiating at least one part of the luminous regions, is disclosed. The first light source and the second light source of the luminous device emit light of different colors and at least one of the luminous regions is a phosphor which can be irradiated by the light from the first light source and can reemit said light in an at least partly wavelength-converted fashion. At least one of the luminous regions of the luminous device can be irradiated by the light from the second light source and that light is scattered by the luminous region without wavelength conversion.

A light module for a projection device may include: at least one light source designed to emit partly polarization radiation; and a first polarization beam splitter, which is arranged in the beam path of the radiation emitted by the at least one light source, wherein the polarization beam splitter is designed to provide radiation of a first polarization at a first output and radiation of a second polarization at a second output. The light module includes a first beam cube arranged in the beam path of the radiation, a first to fourth LCD panels; a second dichroic beam splitter arranged between a first output of the first polarization beam splitter and a first input of the beam cube.
