A front structure () of a motor vehicle has at least one supporting crossmember () and a front spoiler () that extend in the transverse direction of the motor vehicle. The front spoiler () has a front section () that is outside from the supporting crossmember (). At least one deformation member () is arranged in an intermediate space () between the supporting crossmember () and the front spoiler () or is integral with the front spoiler (). The front section () of the front spoiler () and the deformation member () are configured so that, in the case of a pedestrian collision, the front section () can be arched by the deformation member () that is supported on the supporting crossmember ().

Front structure of a motor vehicle

A protection device () has a sensor () to sense an impact of a road user outside a motor vehicle. A control device () is connected to the sensor () and evaluates signals sensed by the sensor (). A rear actuator () is connected to the control device () and to a hinge arrangement () of a front hood () of the vehicle. The rear actuator () transfers a rear part of the front hood () into an impact position for damping an impact sensed by the sensor (). A front actuator () is connected to the control device () and to a hood lock () in a front region of the front hood (). Protection device for protecting road users outside a motor vehicle, and method for operating a protection device

A vehicle front structure () for a motor vehicle with a safety system () having a pressure tube () for detecting a pedestrian impact on a front region () of the motor vehicle, and with a cross member () extending transversely with respect to a longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle. The pressure tube () is arranged above the cross member (), and therefore the pedestrian impact is detectable in a load plane () above a load plane () defined by the cross member ().

Vehicle front structure

A fender configuration for a motor vehicle has a fender and a deformation element which is C-shaped in cross section. For the substantially vertically oriented supporting of an upper edge of the fender, an upper limb of the deformation element is connected to the fender and a lower limb is connected to the vehicle body. It is important that the C-shaped deformation element is arranged such that it is open toward the associated fender.
