The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for providing status management for phased implementation of configuration changes. One process includes operations for receiving a selection for a modular software solution and identifying a partial implementation of the modular software solution comprising a subset of the plurality of model entities included in the modular software solution. After the model entities in the subset are activated, a particular model entity is identified to add to the partial implementation. A temporary phase-in state is assigned to the particular model entity, the temporary phase-in state providing an indication to at least one configuration service to perform at least one pre-activation task for the particular model entity. The particular model entity is activated after the pre-activation task is completed.

Status management for phased implementation of configuration changes

Various embodiments include one or more of systems, methods, software, and data structures to provide flexibility when configuring systems to new or different processes while not disrupting incomplete processes. Some embodiments include receiving input representative of a configuration change to at least one configuration setting and storing a copy of a setting of the at least one configuration setting from a current configuration to an historical configuration setting storage location. Such embodiments may further include storing the input representative of the configuration change into the current configuration. Following such configuring processes already initiated may be completed according to the copied historical configuration setting and new processes may be initiated according to the new configuration setting. These and other embodiments are described herein.

Configuration change without disruption of incomplete processes

Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for monitoring and discovering process executions in a distributed computer system. A central system receives process data items that have been collected by an agent, identifies a process instance with which each process data item is associated, groups the process data items that are associated with a first process instance into a first group, and generates a reconstruction of the first process instance based on the process data items in the first group. The central system can further use the reconstructed first process instance to model a process. Additionally, the central system can further use the reconstructed first process instance to monitor a process instance.
