The present invention relates to a medical device. In particular, the present invention concerns a medical device which can be detected by means of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Rod shaped body and medical device

According to the invention an apparatus for extrusion of a structured extrudate, which can be introduced into a human or animal body, is provided. This apparatus comprises an extrusion apparatus with a housing, whereas the housing has a revolving lateral wall which at a front end in the direction of production is provided with a nozzle wall with an outlet nozzle, and in the direction of production prior to that with a global sleeve, whereas the space in the housing between the global sleeve, the lateral wall and the outlet nozzle confines an extrusion space, and the housing in the region of the extrusion space can be connected to a polymer feeding appliance. In the global sleeve at least one guide channel extending in the direction of production is provided in order to be able to insert at least one rod-shaped body from a feeding appliance for rod-shaped bodies into the extrusion space, whereas the at least one guide channel is arranged in about straight alignment to the outlet nozzle.

Apparatus for extruding a structured extrudate

The invention relates to a stent and a system for putting in place a stent. Said stent is used especially for splinting a vein and consists of a braided, tubular supporting member () that has a minimum length of 60 mm. The supporting member is braided from one or more wires in such a way that portions of the wire or wires, resp., delimit rhombuses. The disclosed stent is characterized in that in the unloaded state of the stent, the longitudinal size of most of the rhombuses () in the longitudinal direction () of the stent () is not shorter than the transversal size of the rhombuses.

Stent for splinting a vein, and system for putting in place a stent

The invention relates to a rod-shaped body comprising a central section and a peripheral section, wherein the central section is arranged in the center of the rod-shaped body and is enclosed by the peripheral section. Both the central section and the peripheral section substantially extend along the entire length of the rod-shaped body. The central section comprises at least one non-metallic fiber bundle that is embedded in a non-ferromagnetic matrix material. The matrix material is doped with marker particles. The peripheral section comprises at least one undoped, non-ferromagnetic matrix material. The diameter of the central section is less than or equal to 0.2 mm, preferably less than or equal to 0.15 mm, and even more preferably, less than or equal to 0.1 mm, and in particular less than or equal to 0.08 mm.

Rod-shaped body and medical instrument

Described is a method for obtaining a mixture of the rapeseed proteins napin and cruciferin, or the individual proteins, in pure form from rapeseed meal, wherein once a raw extract has been obtained using a suitable extraction medium the desired proteins are purified from the raw extract by several purification steps at defined pH levels.

The invention relates to a method of obtaining a desired protein from a transgenic host organism, the gene coding for this protein being not expressed until the host organism has been harvested and the method being characterized in that (a) the transgenic host organism contains the gene coding for the desired protein such that it is only expressed in the presence of a chemical inductor, and (b) contacting with the inductor takes place via the phase surrounding the host organism after the host organism has been harvested. The invention also relates to a host organism suitable for carrying out this method.
