The present invention includes a system for withdrawing body fluids. The system includes a drive unit having a plunger which is moved from a resting position into a lancing position in order to carry out a lancing process and a lancing unit containing a lancet with a needle. The plunger and lancet are coupled together by a form fit in order to carry out a lancing process. The invention additionally concerns a method for temporarily extending a needle from a device for withdrawing body fluid as well as a lancing unit that can be attached to the drive unit.

System for withdrawing blood

A device for receiving a body fluid for analysis, comprising a container and at least one sample-receiving unit which can be impinged upon by the body fluid at a receiving point and which can be extracted from a guide chamber of the container by means of a drive unit. According to the invention, a coupling device is provided in order to couple the sample receiving unit to the drive unit to ensure back and forth movement between the guide chamber and the receiving point.

Magazine for annulary capillary lancets

The invention concerns a test system for carrying out blood sugar tests with a diagnostic tape cassette which comprises a windable analytical test tape for detecting an analyte and a cassette housing accommodating the test tape, and a test device which has a device housing for inserting and removing the tape cassette and a measuring unit for detecting the analyte on the test tape. According to the invention it is proposed that the tape cassette can be detachably fastened by positioning elements on a platform mounted in the device housing and that the measuring unit is rigidly attached on the platform or can be engaged therewith.

A diagnostic tape cassette is disclosed that includes an analytical test tape, a supply spool for winding off unused test tape and a take-up spool for winding used test tape, a housing and a rotational lock for the take-up spool at least against inadvertent unwinding of test tape. The rotational lock includes one of a locking teeth arrangement, friction elements, and a catch spring and spring latch arrangement.

Diagnostic tape cassette

The invention relates to a lancet magazine with a plurality of lancets for generating a puncture wound for collecting a sample of body fluid. According to the invention, the lancets in the lancet magazine are each coupled to a drive mechanism which, for each lancet, comprises at least one pretensioned drive element which, when the drive mechanism is triggered, releases mechanical energy to accelerate the lancet coupled thereto for a puncturing movement.

The invention concerns a device for analyzing a body fluid. The device includes a test tape having a carrier tape and test fields for the detection of an analyte in the body fluid, the test fields being distributed along the carrier tape and raised above the carrier tape and a container for the test tape. The container has a seal for passage of the test tape, wherein the test fields have a leading edge which runs against a sealing edge of the seal when the test field passes through the seal. The leading edge of the test fields or/and the sealing edge of the seal at least in parts are angled or curved relative to the transverse direction of the tape.

The invention concerns a diagnostic test unit for analysing a body fluid comprising a test carrier (test tape; test strips) provided with test fields () for applying the body fluid and a container () containing the test carrier, wherein an opening () of the container () is at least in some areas bordered by a seal (). According to the invention it is proposed that the opening () is screened by a closing foil () from the surroundings of the container () and that the test tape () or a test strip () to be dispensed is passed through a passage gap () between the closing foil () and the seal ().

Diagnostic test unit with a container for test carriers

A diagnostic tape cassette especially for blood sugar tests comprises a test tape which is provided with a plurality of test fields for analysing body fluid, and a housing for receiving the test tape. The housing may have at least one housing part formed from a metal support and moulded-on plastic with integrated functional elements.

A tape unit is provided comprising a flexible tape, a spool for unwinding unused tape and a spool for winding on used tape, wherein an intermediate section of tape which is located between the spools can be used by a user. The tape unit generally achieves a compact design by providing one of the spools in a receiving area defined within the other spool, and a deflection guide for guiding the tape from one spool to the other.
