A self-resetting current limiter includes: a first connecting contact for bringing the current limiter into contact with a first electrical conductor a second connecting contact for bringing the current limiter into contact with a second electrical conductor; a first movable contact member; and a second movable contact member, wherein the first and the second movable contact members are electrically interconnected in a first position of the first and the second movable contact member, such that a current path between the first and the second connecting contact is closed, and wherein the first and the second movable contact members are separated from one another in a second position of the first and the second movable contact member, such that the current path between the first and the second connecting contact is interrupted.

Self-resetting current limiter

A contacting device for contacting an electrical conductor to an electrical conductor track includes a housing having openings for inserting the conductor and the conductor track into a cavity. A contact clip is in the cavity, and is a single element that includes a first portion having an end to press the conductor onto the conductor track, and a second portion from which a protrusion protrudes. The contact clip is bent in the cavity so that the first portion is under bending stress and the end of the first portion is pressed against the protrusion. The second portion is arranged in the housing such that it and the protrusion are displaced when a force acts on the second portion, as a result of which the end of the first portion is released from abutting the protrusion and is pressed against the conductor to hold the conductor on the conductor track.

A switching device for direct current applications having a first switching chamber for a first current path and a second switching chamber for a second current path, each current path having a switching contact arrangement having a first and second contact, wherein both the contacts, switched-on, come into contact with each other and, switched-off, are kept out of contact with each other by the creation of an isolation gap; a current path having an extinguishing device to extinguish an arc created between the contacts; an arc driver arrangement, arranged in one of the two switching chambers, and which creates a magnetic field at least in the area of the switching contact arrangement for the relevant current path that drives the arc into the relevant extinguishing device.

Switching device for direct current applications

An electric protective switching device is configured as a modular system and includes a switching device base module including first mechanical guide elements and an installation space with electric contacts. A control module including control electronics, first mechanical elements and electric counter-contact elements is installable into the installation space. A communication module including second mechanical elements is configured as an interface between the control electronics and an electronic bus system. The control module and the communication module are connectable mechanically and electrically to the switching device base module. The first mechanical guide elements of the switching device base module are configured to slidably receive the first mechanical elements of the control module and the second mechanical elements of the communication module in a plugging sequence wherein an electric contacting between the communication module and the control module is only established when, in the plugging sequence, the second mechanical elements of the communication module are connected to the first mechanical guide elements of the switching device base module before the first mechanical elements of the control module are connected to the first mechanical guide elements of the switching device base module.

Electric protective switching device with control electronics

An actuating unit or actuating mechanism and release for a circuit breaker. The magnetic mechanism of the release includes a magnet armature, which can move linearly in a magnet coil, is in the form of a tripping plunger and can be moved towards a permanent magnet counter to the force of a storage compression spring and is held fixedly by said permanent magnet in the case of a magnet coil through which no current is flowing. The tripping unit is in the form of a mechanical force store. After a tripping action, the mechanical force store needs to be reset manually again. For this purpose, a rotary movement of the drive shaft with an angular displacement of from 20 to 30 degrees takes place in the opposite direction to the ON switching rotary movement.

Electrical circuit breaker having a protective function

An electrical switching device having at least one pole includes a housing of an insulating material, and an incoming terminal contact and an outgoing terminal contact associated with a first pole. Each of the terminal contacts includes a first connection device for connection of a first external electrical conductor. At least one of the terminal contacts includes a second connection device for pluggable connection of a second electrical conductor.
