The invention relates to a blowout preventer stack having at least one blowout preventer, at least one kinetic energy storage device, at least one hydraulic pump, and at least one hydraulic actuator which is disposed outside the kinetic energy storage device and is connected to the hydraulic pump via a hydraulic line and is mechanically connected to the blowout preventer, wherein the kinetic energy storage device is coupled, or couplable, to the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic pump may be driven by the kinetic energy stored in the kinetic energy storage device in such a manner that in case of need the hydraulic pump will pump hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic actuator and thus actuate the blowout preventer.

Blowout preventer stack

A drive device serves for adjusting an operating element for a valve, a throttle, a blow-out preventor or the like, in particular in the field of gas and oil production, the operating element being actively connected to at least one driving motor via a drive train, and at least one transmission changing unit being arranged in the drive train for converting a revolution of the driving motor into a revolution of the operating element and/or a revolution/linear motion converter being arranged for converting the revolution of the driving motor into a linear motion of the operating element. In order to also have a very compact design in case of a high possible performance and to simultaneously permit a good thermal distribution within the drive device, so that separate cooling devices for carrying off the generated lost heat are superfluous, the drive train comprises at least one essentially disk- or wheel-shaped revolution introducing device which is actively connected with at least two drive shafts driven by separate driving motors.

Drive device

The invention relates to a blowout preventer stack comprising blowout preventer stack components. A part of the blowout preventer stack components has a blowout preventer with an electric blowout preventer drive means for operating the blowout preventer. The energy necessary for operating the blowout preventer is provided by kinetic energy storage devices. The kinetic energy storage devices are flywheel energy storage devices, which serve as motor-generator-combination and store, provide and receive kinetic energy and exchange it into electric energy. A steam turbine arrangement and further emergency energy supply and emergency control systems serving as emergency energy supply system are connected to the blowout preventer stack and can be operated parallel to energy supply and control systems. This facilitates a multi-redundant energy supply and control system with upmost effectiveness as to fail-safety of the blowout preventer stack.

Blowout preventer stack and supply system

An actuating device for displacing a control device, such as a valve, gate valve, or the like, particularly for use in oil or gas production systems. The actuating device includes at least one torque motor having an electric drive and a thread drive that is rotatable by the electric drive. The actuating device also includes a threaded spindle, a screw nut, a torque control/regulation device, and a position detection device. The threaded spindle is axially displaceable to displace a flow control device between an advanced position and a retracted position. The torque motor is connected to the screw nut in a rotationally-fixed manner and the position detection device is assigned to the threaded spindle to determine the axial position thereof.

Actuating device

An arrangement system composed of a plurality of electrical/electronic components particularly of a voltage converter device of a power supply system for use in oil/natural gas production composed of at least one support member that is provided on at least one side with a surrounded accommodating recess, a circuit carrier which is arranged in the accommodating recess and electrically connected to the components, and a holding member fixing the circuit carrier and/or the components in the accommodating recess. An insulating material is arranged at least in part between the circuit carrier and/or components and the support member. Such an arrangement system permits an adequate electrical insulation of the corresponding components and optionally also of the circuit carrier in relation to the support member together with an adequately high heat conduction. At the same time an arrangement system for components is provided that is mechanically stable and permits a good electrical insulation of the components with heat transfer to the outside with respect to the arrangement system.

Arrangement system

A locking device is used for locking at least a piston associated with an operating element of a valve, a choke, a blowout preventer or some other unit used in the field of oil/natural gas drilling and/or oil/natural gas production. The locking device comprises a sleeve, which is axially displaceable relative to the piston and which is threadedly engaged with a rotatably supported rod for displacement in an axial direction. The rod is drivingly connected to a motor. In order to be able to determine, by means of simple structural measures, the position of the piston for each of its positions in a sufficiently precise and reproducible manner, the locking device is provided with a position sensor, which extends from a fixed point through a longitudinal bore of the lock rod up to the hydraulic piston and by means of which a distance between the piston and the fixed point can be detected.

Locking device

A system supplies power from an AC voltage source to an electrical device. The system includes a plurality of AC/DC voltage converters having inputs connected to the AC voltage source and outputs connected to an electrical conductor. The system also includes a plurality of DC voltage converters, each having an input side connected to the electrical conductor and an output side connected to the electrical device. A converted DC or AC voltage is supplied to the electrical device. The system also includes a data coupling device coupled to the electrical conductor. The data coupling device allows communication with the electrical device via the electrical conductor using signals associated with a first frequency range while power is supplied to the electrical device via the electrical conductor. The system further includes clocking frequencies associated with one or more of the AC/DC converters being phase shifted with respect to each other to shift clocking noise from the first frequency range to a second frequency range and clocking frequencies associated with one or more of the DC voltage converters being phase shifted with respect to each other to shift clocking noise from the first frequency range to the second frequency range.

Electric control and supply system

An actuator for displacing a control device including a valve, a gate valve or the like, in particular for use in oil or gas production systems, said actuator comprising an electric drive and a thread drive displaceable by means of said electric drive. The thread drive comprises at least a threaded spindle and a screw nut. The threaded spindle is displaceable in a substantially axial direction between an advanced position and a retracted position so as to displace the control device. In order to improve an actuator of this kind in such a way that advantages of an already known actuator will be maintained on the basis of a smaller number of components and a more compact structural design and a reduction of the manufacturing costs can simultaneously be accomplished, the electric drive comprises at least one torque motor with a hollow shaft, said hollow shaft being connected to the driven side of a safety clutch unit such that it is secured against rotation relative thereto. This safety clutch unit is, on the driving side thereof, connected in a motion-transmitting manner to the screw nut which is supported such that it is rotatable and axially non-displaceable. In this way, it is additionally achieved that the actuator in question can also be used for units that are already in use.

Actuator

The separator serves to mechanically separate an actuator and an operating mechanism, such as a choke, a valve, a blow-out preventer or the like, which is displaceable by said actuator, for use especially in the field of oil or natural gas production. The separator is adapted to be arranged between the actuator and the operating mechanism and comprises at least a first component associated with the actuator and a second component associated with the operating mechanism. These first and second components are displaceable relative to one another by means of at least one application part, which is connected to the first or second component, between an engagement position and a release position. The application part is adapted to be brought into releasable engagement with a displacement part which is suitable for handling by a user. This allows the actuator and the operating mechanism to be easily separated by the respective separator, without said separator leading to any structural modifications or enlargements of the actuator and/or operating mechanism. In addition, the separator is easily operable especially by an external user, and a predetermined displacement of the operating mechanism is made possible.

Pump device for hydraulically activating a valve in particular used for oil and gas exploration wherein such a valve may be a safety valve assigned to a riser or a tree, said pump device including a piston cylinder unit from which pressurized hydraulic fluid can be pumped in direction to the valve. To improve such a pump device so that the pressure of the hydraulic fluid is produced in particular at the corresponding site and near to the valve and is safe and constructed in a simple way an electrical drive means is movably connected to a piston of the piston cylinder unit for alternating movement in axial direction of the piston within the cylinder.

An actuating device for displacing a control device, such as a gate valve or other control mechanism, in particular for use in oil or gas production systems, includes a motor-gear unit and a threaded spindle drive, which is operable by said motor-gear unit. The threaded spindle drive includes at least a threaded spindle and a screw nut. The threaded spindle is displaceable in an essentially axial-direction so as to displace the control device between an advance position and a retracted position. The threaded spindle drive further includes a position holding means holding the attained position of the threaded spindle. The position holding means is directly connected to a motor shaft of the motor-gear unit so as to apply a holding torque to said motor shaft.

Actuating device and method of operating an actuating device

A power supply system, particularly to be used in maritime oil/natural gas production includes at least one data transfer/voltage conversion unit arranged above sea level and one electrical means such as a choke, gate valve, production tree, power control/communication unit and the like arranged below sea level, which are electrically connected via a cable connection at least for power supply. To improve such a power supply system in a manner that this system has a simple structure and each data transfer/voltage conversion unit can also provide higher powers over a predetermined period of time or during continuous operation, a plurality of data transfer/voltage conversion units are arranged modularly, and one additional power supply module can be connected thereto to increase the power supply, and the electrical power, respectively.

Power supply system

An electric motor, particularly for an actuating device for displacing a control device, such as a valve, a gate valve, a blow-out preventer or the like, for use in oil or gas production includes a stator and a rotor assigned to a motor shaft, and a position holding device for exerting a holding torque on the motor shaft. To improve an electric motor of this type such that said motor is of a compact structure, includes less additional parts for a corresponding position holding device and, particularly in case of failure of an external power supply, reliably prevents a situation where the motor shaft is moved out of the attained position upon corresponding pressure application e.g. by the control device, the position holding device comprises a plurality of permanent magnets, the permanent magnets being arranged in radial direction relative to the rotor and the motor shaft, respectively.
