A circular knitting machine with a carrier () for knitting tools () and a cam housing () is described, the cam housing () being sub-divided into a plurality of segments () which are adjacent in the circumferential direction and bear needle cams (). According to the invention, the circular knitting machine has a dust removal device which contains air distribution channels () which are configured in the segments and are connected to a compressed air source via radial air supply channels ().
