The disclosure relates to a road finishing machine with a screed for producing a paving layer, wherein the screed includes at least one compacting unit for precompacting paving material supplied to the screed. The compacting unit includes at least one eccentric bushing mounted on an eccentric shaft supporting the same and rotatable to a desired angle of rotation to thereby continuously variably set a desired tamper stroke of a tamper bar of the compacting unit. For rotating the eccentric bushing, the compacting unit includes at least one adjusting mechanism, wherein the adjusting mechanism includes an adjusting drive mounted on the eccentric shaft and rotatable along with the eccentric shaft. The disclosure furthermore relates to a method for a continuously variable tamper stroke adjustment at a compacting unit of a road finishing machine.

Tamper stroke adjustment

The disclosure relates to a road finishing machine with a screed for producing a paving layer, wherein the screed includes at least one compacting unit for precompacting paving material supplied to the screed. The compacting unit includes at least one eccentric bushing mounted on an eccentric shaft supporting the same at a desired angle of rotation to thereby continuously variably set a desired tamper stroke of a tamper bar of the compacting unit. For rotating the eccentric bushing on the eccentric shaft, an adjusting mechanism mounted spaced apart from the eccentric shaft and at least partially rotatable along with a rotary motion of the eccentric shaft can be activated. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to a method for a continuously variable tamper stroke adjustment at a compacting unit of a road finishing machine.

Method for laying down a pavement consisting of paving material with a road paver screed in which a compaction unit pre-compacts the paving material at cyclical work cycles with a selectable stroke and at a selectable frequency while the pavement is laid down at a selectable paving speed and at least the stroke is automatically adjustable in response to paving parameters.

Method for laying down a pavement, a screed and a road paver

A tamper of a screed includes a tamper bar secured to a connecting rod in which an eccentric bushing is rotatable. The eccentric bushing is adapted to be rotationally displaced on an eccentric section of a drive shaft relative to the eccentric section and to be rotationally coupled with the eccentric section at relative rotational positions defining different stroke lengths of the tamper bar. A changeover between the rotational positions is accomplishable by a reversal of the direction of rotation of the drive shaft. The eccentric bushing is adapted to be locked at each respective rotational position by means of a locking and/or coupling device against inadvertent displacement from the respective rotational position. The locking and/or coupling device is adapted to be released and/or engaged automatically or by remote control for effecting a changeover from one rotational position to the next.

Tamper

The invention relates to a road finishing machine with a controllable longitudinal conveyor device and a transverse conveyor device for mixed laying material disposed in the rear in the direction of motion. The road finishing machine furthermore comprises a control unit for adjusting a delivery rate of the longitudinal conveyor device and/or the transverse conveyor device. The control unit is connected with a sensory mechanism for determining a mixed laying material quantity or rate and adjusts the delivery rate in response to a signal from the sensory mechanism representing the mixed laying material quantity or rate. The control unit can be pilot controlled in response to laying parameters by a pilot control unit.

Road finishing machine with controllable conveyor devices

A method for laying down a pavement in which a compaction unit such as a tamper pre-compacts the paving material with a selectable stroke and at a selectable frequency while the pavement having a selectable pavement thickness is in the process of being laid down at a selectable paving speed, the stroke of the compaction unit is automatically adjustable in response to paving parameters, such as the paving speed and/or the pavement thickness, along a characteristic curve or in a characteristic map. The compaction unit includes an adjusting mechanism which is operable during the paving operation for adjusting the stroke of the compaction unit.

A method of laying a finishing layer with a road finisher F having a screed B, whereby the screed, equipped with a tamper device T and a smoothing plate, at least compacts and superficially smoothes the finishing layer, and the stroke and/or the frequency of the tamper device T are remotely varied for laying a finishing layer with a paving thickness and/or laying rate V which vary over the pave width and transversely to the working direction R within the pave width. A road finisher having a screed suitable for implementing the method set forth above wherein the road finisher or screed has an adjustment device for the remotely actuated local variation of at least the stroke of the tamper device within the pave width.

Method and road finisher for laying a compacted finishing layer

A tamper of a screed having an eccentric shaft including an eccentric section and an eccentric bushing rotatably mounted in a connecting rod driving a tamper bar. The stroke of the tamper bar is adjustable by a relative rotation between the eccentric shaft and the eccentric bushing, and a tappet and a preselection area with two tappet stop positions defining two different tamper bar strokes are provided between the eccentric shaft and the eccentric bushing, enabling adjustment of the tappet to each tappet stop position, by reversing the direction of rotation of the eccentric shaft to switch between the two strokes.
