An implantable medical device including at least one elongate electrical line with a first electrical component as a functional conductor, and at least one second electrical component with an electrical length. The first electrical component includes a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal side is in electrical contact with tissue or blood. The first electrical component is in electrical contact with the at least one second electrical component, and wherein the electrical length of the at least one second component corresponds to at least a tenth of a wavelength (&#x3bb;/10) of electromagnetic waves in a radiofrequency range.

Implantable device

An implantable electrode lead for transmitting electrical impulses to excitable bodily tissue and/or for transmitting electrical signals tapped at bodily tissue to a detection unit. The electrode lead including a distal electrode, a proximal electrode connector, and an electrode supply lead which connects the electrode, or each electrode, to the electrode connector, or each electrode connector, and extends in a lead body, wherein the lead body includes a hinged alignment of hard elements.

Implantable electrode lead

An adapter for mechanically/electrically connecting an implantable electrode, via the proximal connector thereof including at least one connecting contact for the electrode, to at least one test terminal contact of a measuring device, includes an electrically insulating adapter housing, a connector receiving element adapted to connector shape, and at least one contact element disposed in the adapter housing establishing contact between the at least one connecting contact of the connector and the at least one test terminal. A receiving tray, having the receiving element for the connector, is mounted on the adapter housing and variable between open and closed contact positions. In the open position, the connector is inserted in the receiving element in a defined position and removed therefrom. In the contact position, the at least one connecting contact of the connector is brought in contact with the contact element in the adapter housing in a defined manner.

Adapter for mechanically and electrically connecting an implantable electrode to at least one test terminal contact

An implantable medical lead for transmitting electrical pulses to excitable bodily tissue and/or signals detected at bodily tissue to a detection and evaluation unit, including a distal electrode or a distal sensor, or actuator; a proximal electrode connector or sensor/actuator connector; and a lead pole which connects the electrode or the sensor or actuator to the electrode connector or sensor/actuator connector and extends in the lead body, wherein the lead pole comprises at least two separate and individually insulated conductors which are electrically interconnected at least at one point which functions as an interchange point, or reversal point, in the lead extension from the proximal electrode or sensor connector to the distal electrode or the distal sensor, and wherein at least one of the separate conductors, in particular close to the reversal point, is interrupted at least once and/or is not connected at one end.

Implantable medical lead

Temporarily or permanently implantable medical device, having at least one longitudinally extended first electrical conductor having a functional lead, which is connected to a functional electrode pole for dispensing therapeutic signals or for detecting diagnostic signals, and including at least one second electrical conductor, which is coupled to the functional lead and is guided with it in a shared insulating sheathing, such that a coupling between the functional lead and the second electrical conductor is designed to input electromagnetic radiofrequency waves guided in the functional lead at least partially into the second electrical conductor.

A device for the in vivo determination of the blood flow rate in a patient's blood vessel includes a microelectrode arrangement provided for placement in the blood vessel, an electrical power source which provides excitation energy having physiologically harmless parameters for obtaining a measured signal, a signal detector for detecting an electrical measured signal resulting from the blood flow in the presence of the excitation energy at measuring electrodes of the microelectrode arrangement, and a signal evaluation device, connected to the signal detector, for determining the blood flow rate on the basis of the measured signal.

Device for determining the flow rate of a blood flow, and cardiovascular assist device

A device that can be temporarily introduced in a body or permanently implanted in a body comprising at least one elongated electric function conductor for transmitting treatment signals or diagnostic signals, or both, and further comprising a connector, which is connected to the function conductor and disposed on a proximal end of the function conductor, for connecting the device to a further device. Characteristic impedance is present between the function conductor and at least one further conductor. A transition region from the function conductor to the connector is designed such that a characteristic impedance between the function conductor and the further conductor in the transition region is designed to be between the corresponding characteristic impedance of the device in a line section distal of the transition region and the characteristic impedance present proximal of the transition region when the connector is connected to a further device.

Implantable shock electrode line having a proximal end for connection to an implantable device which generates shock pulses, and a distal segment which has a shock electrode, wherein an area ratio of the shock electrode area to the surface area of the shock electrode line is not constant over the longitudinal extent of the shock electrode.

Shock electrode line

A terminal part for an electrode line for connection to an implantable heart stimulator, the terminal part having multiple annular, electrically conductive contacts of equal external diameter having insulation sections of the same external diameter situated between them in the longitudinal direction, of which the electrically conductive contacts are each electrically connected to an electrically conductive terminal line, the terminal part being formed by multiple insulating adapters and by electrical contacts held thereby having terminal lines fastened thereon, which are plugged together and connected using a thermoplastic injection molding compound after being plugged together, the terminal part otherwise being implemented in such a way that it is to be connected as an independent unit to a remaining electrode line.

Electrode line and terminal part for an implantable heart stimulator

The invention relates to a connecting piece for connecting to an electrode line and to an electric implant, whereby the connecting piece has an electrically conducting plug module, multiple ring-shaped electrically conducting contacts with insulation sections having the same outside diameter arranged in the longitudinal direction therebetween, multiple electric connecting lines, and a supporting element which supports the insulation sections and secures them in the radial direction. A through-bore situated within the supporting element receives the plug module and/or a feeder line of an electrode body. The supporting element has grooves spaced along the longitudinal direction, and recesses extending from the proximal end to the distal end and running parallel to the longitudinal axis wherein the electric connecting lines are fit.

Electrode line and connecting piece for electromedical implants

Implantable electrode lead for stimulation in or on the heart, comprising a body having an insulating and sealing outer surface, at least one electrical connection between an outwardly electrically active region having a connecting unit for the electrical connection to a cardiac pacemaker, cardioverter/defibrillator or other suitable electrically active implantable device, and an active or passive fixation. To reduce the electrical resistance while, at the same time, providing for a long life, the outwardly electrically active regions are manufactured with a component of high bioresistance, biocompatibility and non-toxicity, and a component with low electrical resistance.
