An air filter for a ventilation system of a motor vehicle has a filter frame and a filter medium fastened in and surrounded by the filter frame. The air filter can be inserted along its two-dimensional extent into a receiving slot and is sealed, at least along the inserted regions of the filter frame, between the filter frame and walls of the insertion slot. To allow the filter to be installed in the ventilation system in as force-free and simple a manner as possible, the filter frame has, in the end side facing the insertion direction, at least one guide slot which is oriented in the insertion direction.

Air filter for a ventilation system of a motor vehicle

An air conditioner for an occupant compartment of a vehicle having a forward vehicle space and a rearward vehicle space with right and left seat zones includes an air conditioning box, in which an evaporator and a heat exchanger are arranged, as well as a cold air space situated between the evaporator and the heat exchanger. A warm air space is arranged behind the heat exchanger and air mixing spaces are constructed for supplying the forward vehicle space and the rearward vehicle space with conditioned air. To provide a mutually independent temperature adjustment in the forward vehicle space and the rearward vehicle space, a separate air mixing space is assigned to each seat zone. The four air mixing spaces are connected with the warm and cold air spaces by one warm and one cold air flap respectively.

Air conditioner

A heating or air-conditioning system for vehicles, having a heat exchanger through which a heating medium flows and which is arranged in an air duct through which air can flow, at least one air mixing chamber which has a warm-air inflow opening and a cold-air inflow opening, at least one closing member controlling the opening cross-sections of the inflow openings, and a shut-off valve which is arranged in the inflow or outflow of the heating medium to the or from the heat exchanger. For reducing the flow resistance in all operating modes, particularly during maximal cooling, the warm-air inflow opening is arranged in the air flow behind the heat exchanger, and a control system controlling the closing member and the shut-off valve is designed such that, with the shutting-off of the warm-air inflow opening, it closes the shut-off valve and, after the closing of the shut-off valve, changes the closing member into an open position which completely opens up the warm-air inflow opening.

Heating or air-conditioning system

An air-conditioning system for a passenger cell of a vehicle includes an evaporator, for cooling an air stream, arranged in succession with a heat exchanger for heating the air stream. The heat exchanger has a heating medium flowing through it permanently. At least one air-mixing space is directly adjacent to the heat exchanger and has a warm-air inlet, covering at least part of the air outlet surface of the heat exchanger, and a cold-air inlet, forming the mouth of a cold-air duct bypassing the heat exchanger. Control members set the opening cross sections of the inlets. For the purpose of a substantial reduction in cold-air heating in the &ldquo;maximum cooling&rdquo; operating mode by the heat exchanger through which the heating medium flows permanently, an air-guide flap pivotable into two pivoting end positions is arranged at the inlet of the cold-air duct on the air inlet side of the heat exchanger, in such a way that, in this operating mode, the said air-guide flap covers a part region of the air inlet surface of the heat exchanger and performs an air-guide function for guiding the cold-air stream towards the cold-air duct inlet.

Airconditioner for a passenger cell of a vehicle

The invention relates to a heating or air-conditioning system and method for ventilating an occupant compartment of a vehicle having a climatic box in which a heat exchanger is accommodated, through which air can flow, and in which at least one air mixing chamber is constructed, which has an air inflow opening for warm air flowing through the heat exchanger and an air inflow opening for cold air flowing around the heat exchanger as well as outlet openings for mixed air, of which at least one outflow opening is arranged on the bottom in the air mixing chamber and at least one outflow opening is arranged on top in the air mixing chamber, and having closing members controlling the opening cross-sections of the inflow openings. For achieving a temperature gradient between the lower and the upper outflow opening, the closing member for the cold-air inflow opening is constructed in two parts such that an upper closing member part completely covers the upper dimension area and a lower closing member part completely covers the lower dimension area of the cold-air inflow opening, and the two closing member parts are controlled such that, in every closing member position, the lower closing member part covers a larger opening cross-section of the cold-air inflow opening than the upper closing member part.

A heating or air-conditioning system is provided for ventilating a passenger cell. The system includes an air-conditioning box in which a heat exchanger is accommodated and at least one air-mixing chamber is formed. The air-mixing chamber has an inflow opening for hot air flowing through the heat exchanger and an inflow opening for cold air flowing around the heat exchanger. The air-mixing chamber also has at least two outflow openings for ventilating the passenger cell. The system also has an air-mixing device which controls the inflow openings. In order to ensure pleasant ventilation for the occupant in every operating mode of the system and with little structural outlay, one outflow opening has arranged on it a restricting element which is intended for restricting the opening cross section and is actuated by the air-mixing device in such a manner that the outflow opening is restricted to the maximum when the hot-air inflow opening is opened up to the maximum and is completely opened up when the cold-air inflow opening is opened up to the maximum.

Heating or air-conditioning system and method of operating same

A heating or air-conditioning system for a vehicle occupant compartment has an air distributor with a warm-air outlet which is connected with an air duct leading to a center plane the vehicle occupant compartment. A cold-air bypass controlled by a cold-air flap is provided for lowering the temperature of the warm air flowing out of the warm air outlet to the air duct. In the cold-air bypass, which has a relatively small cross-section, a throttling element is coupled with the cold-air flap such that the cold-air flap partially, to a defined extent, covers the warm-air outlet in the open position of the cold-air flap, thus maximally opening up the cold-air bypass. In addition, in this arrangement the throttling element completely opens up the warm-air outlet in the closed position of the cold-air flap, thus completely blocking the cold-air bypass.

Heating or air-conditioning system for a vehicle occupant compartment

A nozzle for ventilating a vehicle interior, having a housing which has an air outflow opening which can be closed by a panel when not in use, and having an insert which accommodates air-guiding vanes in a pivotable manner and which is held movably in the housing for the purpose of moving the air-guiding vanes out of the air outlet opening during closing of the panel. In order to integrate the nozzle housing in dashboards of differing design, the insert is designed as a frame-like slide which can be displaced longitudinally in the housing and can be moved into the depth of the housing by a defined displacement path to enable the panel to close the air outflow opening.

Nozzle for ventilating a motor vehicle

A central console for a vehicle having a ventilated storage compartment which is connected via at least one air inlet to at least one air duct in order to ventilate the vehicle rear, and having a control device for opening and closing the one air inlet. For the purpose of ventilating the storage compartment without adversely affecting the cross section of the air duct which continues in order to ventilate the rear, at least one air duct runs laterally past the storage compartment, and the air inlet is arranged in the front end wall of the storage compartment and the air duct is widened in that duct section which is mounted upstream of the air inlet.

A heating or air-conditioning system for a vehicle has a cold-air duct and a warm-air duct which open out into an air-mixing chamber. One control member is assigned to each of the cold-air duct and the warm-air duct for setting the amount of cold or warm air which flows into the air-mixing chamber. The control member for the amount of warm air is designed as a shutter which includes a plurality of closure lamellae which are arranged next to one another, which overlap one another in the closed position, and which can be pivoted by a common actuating drive. To achieve a less progressive, substantially linear control curve of the shutter in the lower pivoting range, the shutter is designed in such a way that the individual closure lamellae, when they pivot out of their closed positions, open up unevenly sized opening cross sections for the warm air to pass through.

Heater or air conditioner for vehicles

A heating or air-conditioning system for a passenger cell of a motor vehicle has a heat exchanger which is arranged in the cooling water circuit of an internal combustion engine and through which an air stream passes. The system also has a supplementary electric heater through which the same air stream flows. The heat exchanger and supplementary electric heater are arranged in an air box, and have an electronic control unit for controlling heating or air conditioning. In order to give the heating or air-conditioning system a design which is economical in terms of installation space and which is easy to mount, the control unit is arranged downstream of the heat exchanger and the supplementary heater in the floor area of the air box. The supplementary heater is oriented at a right angle with respect to the control unit and makes contact with the control unit on its underside.

Heating or air-conditioning system for a passenger cell of a motor vehicle

A ventilation assembly for installing in the dashboard of a motor vehicle has having a housing which has an air-inlet opening for fitting on an air-feed duct and also two air-outlet openings which are arranged one above the other in the installation position and lie in two planes at an angle to each other. Two air ducts are formed in the housing, each connecting one of the two air-outlet openings to the air-inlet opening. The quantities of air flowing into the two air ducts is metered. The end side of the lower air duct which leads to the lower air-outlet opening encloses the air-inlet opening, and the upper air duct, which leads to the upper air-outlet opening, encloses a wall opening in the lower air duct. The air-quantity is metered by a pivotable air-discharge flap which is assigned to the wall opening and is arranged in the lower duct in such a manner that its pivot axis lies on that side of the wall opening which is remote from the air-inlet opening.

Ventilation assembly for a passenger vehicle

The present invention relates to a heating and/or air conditioning system for vehicle interiors with air outlets located at the middle level of the vehicle interior, especially in a dashboard. The outlets include a middle nozzle connected by air ducts with an air distributor, the middle nozzle having a middle nozzle automatic button, with a mixing chamber integrated into the air distributor. The chamber has a cold air duct controlled by a cold air flap for supplying cold air to the mixing chamber and at least one outlet opening to the middle level, with the air to the middle level being controllable by at least one middle level flap, with an automatic control device that comprises an additional automatic button, and with a control device for linking signal values of the adjusting elements and programmed control of adjusting motors to set the air flaps. Provision is made for the cold air flap and the (at least one) middle level flap to be coupled together in terms of their movement possibilities by forced guidance so that, for maximum heating, the cold air flap and the middle level flap are closed, to regulate the air volume to the middle level, the cold air flap is closed and the middle level flap is open to correspond to the desired air flow, and to lower the temperature in the middle level, the middle nozzle automatic button is unlocked and the cold air flap is opened by turning an operating element.

Heating and/or air conditioning system

A ventilating device for vehicles with a housing has at least one air outlet for mounting an air guide part and at least one louvered shutter for metering the quantity of air flowing out through the at least one air outlet. The air outlet has a frame that is circumferential and sealed off from the housing and a plurality of shutter strips pivotably secured in the frame. To simplify the design of the ventilating device and reduce the assembly time, the louvered shutter is pushed into the air inlet and the shutter frame is provided on its outer end pointing away from the housing with a circumferential internal rib, said rib, together with an external rib that is circumferential and concentric relative to the housing, forming a circumferential U-profile for inserting a seal that fits over the edge of the end of the air guide part.

Ventilation device for vehicles and method of making same

A ventilation nozzle for vehicles has a main duct and a secondary duct branching off therefrom. The ducts lead into two mutually separated blow-out openings and have controllable air adjusting devices. These adjusting devices are arranged in the area of the secondary duct branch off. Each adjusting device is assigned to one of the ducts, respectively, for adjusting the air quantities flowing to the blow-out openings. To provide an individually adjustable indirect air flow by way of the blow-out opening of the secondary duct, the adjusting device assigned to the secondary duct is constructed as an air flap which provides an air siphoning function from the main duct. A separate control element is assigned to each adjusting device for its adjustment.
