Core drill bit

The invention relates to a core drill with an end portion () and a drill bit portion (-). The end portion and the drill bit portion are joinable in a watertight fashion with a sealing element (). The sealing element () is provided in a space between the end portion and the drill bit portion, such that it is being compressed in a sealing fashion when the end portion and the drill bit portion are joined. The end portion and the drill bit portion are locked together with a joining element () which achieves this locking effect when moves in the radial direction of the core drill. When the joining element moves in this direction, the end portion and the drill bit portion move towards each other. Thus the sealing element is being compressed while concurrently the end portion and the drill bit portion are joined together. This is further achieved without the joining element having to extend in the axial direction of the core drill. Typically, the joining element () is constituted by a set screw.

Container

A conveyor moves empty containers for single-piece goods one-by-one below an openable bottom on which successive accumulations of the goods are supported. A device for holding an empty container is raised by a control system from a lower position adjacent the conveyor to an upper position below said bottom, the control system being operable to impart to said device with a container thereon a dampened and continuous downward movement from its upper to its lower position in response to falling of a said accumulation against the container when said bottom is opened. The control system includes a valve having a first position for supplying compressed air to one side of a plunger-cylinder assembly to raise said device, a second position for supplying compressed air to the other side of said assembly to hold said device in its upper position, and a third position for venting said one side of said assembly to effect said continuous downward movement.

A roller device for roller trains or roller conveyors has a unit consisting of one side face of a load-carrying roller and a supporting shaft projecting from said side face and being non-rotatably connected to the load-carrying roller and adapted to support a drive pulley which is intended to be driven by a belt, chain or the like and can be passed on to the supporting shaft with any one of its ends facing said side face of the roller and which at one of said ends has coupling means adapted, when the drive pulley is mounted on the supporting shaft with one end facing said side face of the roller, to engage coupling means on the unit so as to provide a non-rotatable engagement between the drive pulley and the load-carrying roller, said drive pulley, at its other end, being so designed that when the drive pulley is mounted on the supporting shaft with the opposite end facing said side face of the roller, it comes clear of the coupling means of the unit and is rotatable on the supporting shaft. The roller device further has retention means for the drive pulley to retain the drive pulley on said supporting shaft, said means comprising adjustable pressure means mounted on said unit for displacement along the supporting shaft and adapted, at the end of the drive pulley which faces away from said side face of the roller, to urge the opposite end of the drive pulley into contact with said side face of the roller.

A stackable load carrier for transporting and furnishing objects comprises an open-top box-like member which has a side wall and a bottom from which there extends downwardly a frame having, on the one hand, two opposed similar open recesses extending from the lower edge surface of the frame substantially up to the bottom and adapted to permit the insertion of at least one fork of a hand-lift truck or the load-carrying part of a sack trolley underneath the bottom, and, on the other, two opposed similar windows laterally spaced apart from the recesses and arranged to permit the insertion of at least one fork of a fork-lift truck or the load-carrying part of a sack trolley underneath the bottom. One or more shoulders or projections disposed on the outer side of the side wall or the frame above or on a level with the upper edge of the windows are arranged for abutting engagement with the lower frame edge surface of another load carrier telescopically stacked on the first load carrier. The load carrier is preferably square and the distance between the shoulder and the upper edge of the side wall preferably is, at the most, equal to the distance between the lower edge of the windows and the lower edge of the frame.
