The invention relates to a laminated core for electromagnetic applications with at least two segments (), of which at least one on a side-edge (), comprises an engagement groove () and the other at an opposite side-edge () comprises a corresponding engagement projection (), via which the two segments () are connected to one another into a component, wherein the engagement groove () comprises an undercut in the form of a widened section () distanced to the groove opening, and the engagement projection () and the engagement groove () are dimensionally matched to one another in a manner such that the engagement projection () and/or engagement groove () are plastically deformed by way of inserting the engagement projection () into the engagement groove (), so that the engagement projection () engages into the widened section () of the engagement groove (), as well as to a method for the manufacture of such a laminated core.

Laminated core for electromagnetic applications

The invention relates to a permanent magnet rotor for an electric motor, in which the permanent magnets inside the rotor extend parallel to the rotation axis of the rotor, and in the area of the radially outer longitudinal edges of the permanent magnets, grooves that are open to the outside are formed on the outer periphery of the rotor. These groves are each, in a peripheral direction, slanted or curved with regard to the longitudinal edge of the adjacent permanent magnets. The center line of each groove intersects the longitudinal edge of the adjacent permanent magnet at least once. The grooves on the outside of the rotor have, in the peripheral direction, a smaller width than in an area of the groove situated radially further inside, and the cross-sectional shape of the groove is constant over the length of the rotor. The invention also relates to a method for producing a rotor of the aforementioned type.

Permanent magnet rotor having slanted or curved grooves

A circulating pump having a pump housing made of non-metallic materials, such as plastic, composite or other moldable materials. The use of a non-metallic housing facilitates the use of features which are difficult or expensive to obtain with a metal cast housing. A U-bolt or other clamping member couples the pump housing between the pump motor and a metallic tubular manifold to place the housing in compression between the motor and manifold to virtually eliminate tensile and bending stresses in the pump housing and, thereby, reduce the possibility of structural degradation from exposure of the non-metallic housing to fluids. The manifold has a shaped portion having a planar surface thereon that abuts the housing and provides a surface for one or more sealing members between the manifold and the housing. The metallic manifold allows the circulating pump to be installed in a metallic piping system utilizing conventional installation materials and methods. A check valve can be installed in the housing to eliminate the need for multiple connections and in a manner that allows the check valve to be field serviceable without removing the pump from the piping system. A method for making the tubular manifold is also presented.

Circulating pump

A position indicator for an actuating drive device which has a range of positions and includes a potentiometer having a resistance strip with end connectors at opposite ends thereof. A tapping feature includes two independently moveable arms each connected at one end thereof to a moveable part of the drive device and at the other end thereof to the resistance strip in sliding engagement therewith and bridging a section of the resistance strip therebetween. The arms are initially adjustable to the end limiting positions of the drive device.

Position indicator for an actuating drive

The invention relates to an electronic switching apparatus having a power transistor as a switching element and an RCD circuit in parallel with the CE path of the power transistor. The apparatus has an anti-saturation circuit with a diode thereof connected to the junction between the capacitor and resistor of the RCD circuit so that the anti-saturation circuit only becomes effective when the RCD capacitor has discharged the high operating voltage to below the low control voltage of the control signal generator.

Electronic switching apparatus

The invention relates to a current supply apparatus in which galvanic separation between the control portion and the high voltage portion is provided and has the feature of a rapid interruption of an overcurrent upon overload, such as, short-circuiting. Control pulses for the chopper and inverter transistor thereof are fed to a base control circuit by way of an opto-coupler and the gate feedable with an appropriate blocking signal on overcurrent is disposed between the opto-coupler and the base control circuit for the chopper and for the transistor of the inverter that are connected to the current return line of the inverter.

Current supply apparatus for an A.C. consumer

The invention relates to an electronic switching circuit having a power transistor controlled by a control stage. During the 'on' time for the transistor a capacitor of a switch off relief circuit is charged and at 'turn-off' time the capacitor is discharged through the base-emitter path of the power transistor. The charge of the capacitor is thus utilized to produce a strong base current surge during switching on of the power transistor so as to operate the power transistor rapidly and thereby reduce the power loss of its switching path.
