The present disclosure relates to an information processing apparatus and method that allow an image projection position to be controlled with more ease. Correction information of an image is generated such that the image is projected onto a desired region of a real space. For example, the correction information is generated such that the projected image is located at a desired position as seen from a given viewpoint position. Also, for example, a correction vector is generated that corrects each pixel position of the image as the correction information. The present disclosure is applicable, for example, to an information processing apparatus, a projection apparatus, an imaging apparatus, a projection imaging apparatus, a projection imaging control apparatus, an image projection imaging system, or the like.

The present technology relates to an image processing device, an image processing method, a program, and a projection system that facilitate the adjustment of the position and tilt of a camera. An image processing device according to one aspect of the present technology estimates, on the basis of a taken image taken by a camera installed at a predetermined tilt, the tilt of the camera, the camera being configured to photograph a projection surface of a screen on which a pattern image that is an image having a predetermined pattern has been projected from a projector, and performs control to display the taken image rotated depending on the tilt of the camera. The present technology is applicable to computers configured to control a plurality of projectors to project video.

Image processing device, image processing method, and projection system

A camera captures a projection image projected from a projector and generates a captured image and a disturbance detection section detects a disturbance of the projector by using the generated captured image. A posture estimation section compares, when the disturbance is detected, posture information before and after a disturbance detection and a presenting position update section performs an update of a presenting position on only the projector in which there is a change in the compared posture information before and after the disturbance detection.

Image processing apparatus and method

The present disclosure relates to an image processing apparatus and a method capable of performing on-line sensing without synchronizing and without using a specialized device. An image corner corresponding point detection unit detects an image corner of an input image from a captured image captured by a camera, and associates four image corner points of a corrected image to be projected by a projector with four image corner points of the detected captured image, thereby detecting four image corner corresponding points. An attitude estimation unit estimates a relative attitude of the projector and the camera from the four image corner corresponding points. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a projection imaging device that projects an image with a projector, captures the image projected by the projector, and updates a presentation position.

An image processing apparatus includes an image obtaining unit configured to obtain a plurality of images, which are images of the same subject captured from different viewpoints; an image offset correction unit configured to modify the plurality of images obtained by the image obtaining unit on the basis of parameters for correcting image offset and generate a correction image for each of the obtained images; an evaluation value calculation unit configured to calculate, as an evaluation value, an integration value, for an entire screen, of an error amount indicating a degree at which association in a parallax direction among the plurality of correction images generated by the image offset correction unit is not possible; and an update unit configured to change a parameter that is necessary for association in the parallax direction among the parameters so as to update the parameter so that the evaluation value becomes a minimum.
