A printer includes a housing in which a sheet is stored in a rolled shape, a head by which an image is printed on the sheet, a flapper configured to pivot around an axis at a first end thereof including a surface extending from the first end to a second end of the flapper and biased to press the stored sheet against the housing, and a protrusion at the first end of the flapper that rotates around the axis as the flapper pivots, a sensor, and a controller configured to issue a signal when the protrusion is rotated around the axis to move into a detection range of the sensor.

In general, according to one embodiment, a paper sheet storage device that is capable of accurately detecting a near end of a stored roll paper sheet is provided. A paper sheet storage device in an embodiment includes a storage unit configured to store a roll paper sheet obtained by winding a long paper sheet, a near end detection unit configured to detect a near end since a diameter of the roll paper sheet stored in the storage unit becomes smaller, and a pressing unit configured to press the roll paper sheet stored in the storage unit in a direction of the near end detection unit.

A printer includes a housing storing a rolled sheet and having an opening, a head, a cover covering the opening, a first flapper attached to the cover via a first shaft at a first end of the flapper, pivoting around the shaft, and biased to press the sheet with a second end thereof, the first end being closer to a front side of the cover than the second end, a second flapper attached to the cover via a second shaft at a first end of the second flapper and pivoting around the second shaft, a second end of the second flapper being closer to the front side than the first end and slidably connected to a center portion of the first flapper, and a sensor detecting that a remaining amount of the sheet has decreased to a predetermined amount, based on an angle by which the second flapper has pivoted.

A label printer includes: a thermal head to execute printing on a label sheet that includes a front print surface and a back adhesive layer and that does not include a liner; a platen roller that is provided at a position facing the thermal head, that pulls out, by being rotationally driven, one end of a roll sheet obtained by winding the label sheet in a roll shape, and that conveys the roll sheet to the thermal head; and a reciprocating control unit (configured to, when a print start instruction is received, cause a holding position of the label sheet sandwiched between the thermal head and the platen roller to reciprocate between a first position downstream in a conveyance direction of the print sheet and a second position upstream of the first position.

Printer apparatus

A magnetic-ink reading device includes a housing and a conveyor in the housing. A medium inlet and outlet port for inserting and pulling out a medium printed using magnetic ink are in the housing. The conveyor conveys the medium along a conveying path. The magnetic-ink reading device includes a magnetizing mechanism configured to magnetize the magnetic ink of the medium on the conveying path and a magnetism detection head disposed near the magnetizing mechanism and configured to read magnetism of the magnetized magnetic ink. The magnetic-ink reading device includes a reversing mechanism provided on the medium inlet and outlet port side of the conveying path and configured to reverse front and rear surfaces of the medium on a reversing path on an inside. The reversing mechanism includes a retraction path for temporarily retracting the medium when the magnetism of the medium is read by the magnetism detection head.

Magnetic-ink reading device and printer

A housing is provided with a sheet ejection port for discharging sheet that passed through a printing unit upward. A cutting unit is arranged between the printing unit and the sheet ejection port and cuts the sheet by either a method of cutting the sheet in the entire width direction or a method of leaving the central portion of the sheet in the width direction. First protrusions and second protrusions protruding from the inner periphery of the sheet ejection port are provided at a plurality of locations along the width direction of the sheet. The first protrusion faces a first surface of the sheet and the second protrusion faces a second surface, which is the back surface of the first surface of the sheet. The first protrusion and the second protrusion are provided at positions deviated from each other in the sheet width direction and bend the sheet in an undulating shape in the width direction therebetween. Further, protrusion height of at least one of the first protrusions and the second protrusions in the central portion in the width direction of the sheet is lower than protrusion heights of the first protrusions and the second protrusions in other regions.

A printer comprises a printer casing accommodating a rolled paper and including an opening through which the roll paper is loaded; a roll-paper holder, arranged on one of the ends side of the printer casing and including a holding member formed in an arc shape; a cover including a lid opened or closed by a hinge mechanism pivotally supported on the one of the ends side of the opening to open or close the opening, and a roll-cover, integrally formed with the lid, which has an arc shape in cross section to move along an outer surface of the roll-paper holder; a paper conveyance mechanism, arranged in the printer casing, configured to pull out and convey a leading end paper from the rolled paper; and a printing mechanism, arranged in the printer casing, configured to perform printing on the paper conveyed by the paper conveyance mechanism.

A printer includes a paper roll holder having a shaft, a paper roll storage section, and a print unit. The paper roll storage section has a first support configured to rotatably support the shaft of the paper roll holder when the paper roll holder is inserted into a shaft core of a paper roll, and a second support configured to rotatably support the shaft of the paper roll holder when the paper roll holder is not inserted into the shaft core of the paper roll and at a position where the paper roll holder abuts an outer circumference of the paper roll when the shaft of the paper roll holder is rotatably supported by the second support. The print unit is configured to form an image on paper to be supplied from the paper roll.

A printer comprises a main body cover and an upper cover. The main body cover houses a roll paper, and an upper portion, the upper portion having an opening through which the roll paper can be loaded. The upper cover closes the opening of the main body cover, and has a gap in a direction in which at least one portion thereof intersects with an axial center of the roll paper housed in the main body cover with the main body cover.

There is provided a printer including, in a sheet holding section configured to hold roll paper formed by rolling a printing target sheet, a pair of pressing sections configured to hold the roll paper from both side ends, and a holding section provided in each of the pressing section. The holding section is displaceable to a first position where the holding section projects to a side opposed to a side end portion of the roll paper and a second position where the holding section does not project. The holding section enters a cylindrical portion in a rolling center of the roll paper in the first position to hold the roll paper.

A printer apparatus comprises an insertion and discharging port; a first paper conveyance path configured to convey a first printing medium inserted from the insertion and discharging port in a downstream direction towards a given printing position, and convey the first printing medium in a direction opposite to the downstream direction to discharge the first printing medium from the insertion and discharging port; a first printing section configured to carry out printing on the first printing medium conveyed to the printing position; a second printing section configured at the downstream side of the first printing section when seen from the direction of the insertion and discharging port to have a printing method different from that of the first printing section; a second paper conveyance path configured to merge with the first paper conveyance path at the downstream side of the first printing section of the first paper conveyance path to discharge a second printing medium printed by the second printing section through the first paper conveyance path from the insertion and discharging port; and a page turning mechanism configured at the downstream side of a mergence section of the first paper conveyance path and the second paper conveyance path to have a page turning function of turning the page of the first printing medium.

A printer apparatus comprises a paper conveyance path configured to pull out wound paper and connect the paper with a paper discharge port, a conveyance unit configured to convey the paper in the paper conveyance path; a printing section configured to print on the paper; a cutter configured to cut the paper on which a given printing operation is carried out by the printing section; a curved paper intrusion section configured to be arranged between the cutter and the paper discharge port to accommodate curved paper the front end of which is not conveyed; and a paper detection section configured to detect the paper intruding into the curved paper intrusion section.

A printer apparatus comprises a housing of a main body of the apparatus, a cover which can be opened and closed relative to the housing, a paper conveyance path configured to convey paper; a rotary component configured to be arranged along the paper conveyance path to convey paper through the friction with paper, a rotary gear arranged in the rotary component, a sensor section configured to detect the rotation of the rotary gear, and a drive section configured to be connected with the rotary component to supply a drive force, wherein the rotary gear is arranged at either side of the housing and the cover, and the drive section, which is arranged at the other side of the housing and the cover where no rotary gear is arranged, is connected with the rotary gear and supplies a drive force for the rotary gear when the cover is closed.

According to one embodiment, this data display device has a display unit in which a rear support cover is mounted on the back surface of a rectangular display panel using a rotatably connected with a first hinge. This data display device has a main body that supports the display unit at a display angle. The main body is provided with a paper discharge unit for a built-in printer. The main body is rotatably connected to rear support cover via a second hinge. The data display device may be used in an operator mode, a first user mode in which the display unit is inclined in the direction opposite to the display angle for an operator by the second hinge, and a second user mode in which the display panel is rotated at an angle of inclination larger than the display angle for an operator by the first hinge.
