The present invention aims to provide an optical layered body that has excellent interlayer adhesiveness, particularly even in outdoor use, and also has highly excellent anti-blocking properties. The present invention relates to an optical layered body including: a substrate film; a hard coat layer containing silica fine particles on at least one surface of the substrate film; and a dry film layer on a surface of the hard coat layer opposite to the substrate film side surface of the hard coat layer, wherein the silica fine particles are exposed on the dry film layer side surface of the hard coat layer; the dry film layer is directly formed on the surface of the hard coat layer on which the silica fine particles are exposed; the hard coat layer before the formation of the dry film layer has projections and depressions on the surface on which the dry film layer is to be formed; the hard coat layer has an average silica fine particle abundance in ten 0.2 &#x3bc;m&#xd7;0.2 &#x3bc;m regions of 30 to 80% and a standard deviation of silica fine particle abundances in the 10 regions of 1 to 7, where the 10 regions are randomly selected from a cross section of the hard coat layer in the thickness direction within the range from the dry film layer side interface to 10% of the thickness in the thickness direction; and the hard coat layer has a silicon atom abundance A of 2 to 10% on the surface opposite to the substrate film side surface as determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

The present invention has its object to provide an optical layered body having sufficient hardness and an even surface, including a low refractive index layer having a sufficiently low refractive index, and having excellent antireflection properties. optical layered body of the present invention comprises: at least a low refractive index layer on a light-transmitting substrate, wherein said low refractive index layer is formed by using a composition for a low refractive index layer, said composition comprising a hollow silica fine particle and an organic binder, said organic binder containing: a fluorine atom-free polyfunctional monomer having three or more reactive functional groups in one molecule; a fluorine atom-containing monomer; and a fluorine atom-containing polymer.

The present invention provides an optical layered body, comprising: an antistatic layer on a light-transmitting substrate, wherein the antistatic layer is a resin thin film layer containing at least an organic conductive material and a nonconductive polymeric material which is a resin having a glass transition temperature of 60&#xb0; C. or higher or a resin obtainable by a reaction between a resin having a glass transition temperature of 60&#xb0; C. or higher and a cross-linking agent.

To provide an optical laminate that can sufficiently exhibit the function of a functional material such as an antistatic agent or fine particles in the obtained laminate without using a binder material for fixing the functional material to the substrate, as well as a method for manufacturing the same, there is obtained the optical laminate by step (A1) in which the substrate is coated with a composition (a) containing a solvent capable of swelling or dissolving the substrate and the functional material, step (A2) of drying, and step (A3) of forming a resin layer on the coated substrate.
