A liquid ejection head is disclosed that includes piezoelectric elements constituting driving element rows in which plural driving piezoelectric element columns that generate energy for ejecting liquid droplets from nozzles are arranged side by side; a wiring board arranged on the side opposite to a surface in which the nozzles are formed; and two sheets of flexible printed circuits that are provided to correspond to the piezoelectric elements and have output terminal parts connected to the plural driving piezoelectric element columns and input terminal parts connected to the wiring board, the input terminal parts being drawn to the side of the wiring board. The flexible printed circuits are arranged facing each other with their input terminal parts not facing each other, and the input terminal parts of the flexible printed circuits are folded in a direction where the flexible printed circuits face each other and are connected to the wiring board.

Liquid ejection head, ink cartridge, and image forming apparatus

A liquid droplet ejecting head is disclosed, including a nozzle hole which ejects liquid droplets; an ejecting liquid chamber which is in communication with outside via the nozzle hole and which contains an ejecting liquid to be the liquid droplets; a pressure generating unit which generates pressure within the ejecting liquid chamber; a temperature detecting unit which detects temperature at a location at which is arranged a temperature measuring resistive body; and a pressure control unit which controls an output of the pressure generating unit based on detected results of the temperature detecting unit, wherein the pressure generating unit is configured to increase pressure within the ejecting liquid chamber, so that the ejecting liquid within the ejecting liquid chamber is ejected from the nozzle hole as the liquid droplets, and wherein the temperature measuring resistive body is arranged at the ejecting liquid chamber forming member.

Liquid droplet ejecting head, ink cartridge, and image forming apparatus

Disclosed is an inkjet head that includes individual liquid chambers having liquid droplet discharging holes; an oscillation plate; piezoelectric elements formed by laminating a lower electrode, a piezoelectric material, and upper electrodes on the oscillation plate, wherein the lower electrode is a common electrode and the upper electrode is an individual electrode; a common electrode wiring connected to the lower electrode; and individual electrode wirings connected to the corresponding upper electrodes of the piezoelectric elements, wherein driving signals are individually input to the corresponding individual electrode wirings. The inkjet head further includes an upper layer insulator film; an intermediate layer insulator film; and a lower layer insulator film. The intermediate layer insulator film and the upper layer insulator film have openings for exposing the piezoelectric elements.

A droplet ejection head that is attachable to and removable from a droplet ejection apparatus, includes: a nozzle plate having multiple nozzle holes to eject droplets; an individual-channel substrate in which multiple individual-liquid-chambers to supply liquid to the nozzle holes are formed; a common-channel substrate to supply liquid to the individual-channel substrate; a base plate made of metal and including a first positioning part to be engaged with a part of the droplet ejection apparatus at a given position to perform positioning with respect to the droplet ejection apparatus in a direction along an opening surface of the nozzle plate at which the nozzle holes are opened; and a housing made of resin and including a second positioning part to perform positioning with respect to the droplet ejection apparatus in a direction intersecting with the opening surface.

Disclosed is an inkjet head including a fluid channel substrate on which individual liquid chambers are arranged, the individual liquid chambers being partitioned by liquid chamber partition walls; an oscillation plate that is formed on a surface facing openings of nozzles; actuators; wiring layer patterns that supplies driving signals to the actuators, the wiring layer patterns being formed above the corresponding liquid chamber partition walls; and a supporting substrate in which concave oscillation chambers are formed, the concave oscillation chambers being partitioned by supporting substrate partition walls. A width in the short direction of the supporting substrate partition wall is smaller than a width in the short direction of the liquid chamber partition wall and greater than a width of the wiring layer pattern.

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head; a carriage to which the recording head is detachably mounted; and a first head protection member that is arranged on the carriage; wherein the recording head is positioned with respect to the carriage in a relative movement direction by moving the recording head relative to the carriage until a first position reference plane of the recording head and a second position reference plane of the carriage come into contact; the first head protection member is arranged at both sides in the relative movement direction of a nozzle face of the recording head and protrudes further than the nozzle face; and the first head protection member is movable with respect to the carriage in the relative movement direction and moves along with the recording head when the recording head moves relative to the carriage.

Inkjet recording apparatus

An inkjet head is disclosed, including a nozzle plate, a passage substrate, and a diaphragm. The nozzle plate forms multiple nozzles for discharging ink. A passage substrate joints to the nozzle plate. On the passage substrate, an individual liquid chamber leading to a nozzle, and a liquid supply chamber connected to the individual liquid chamber through an individual passage are formed for each of the multiple nozzles. The diaphragm forms a piezoelectric element which is laminated on a side opposite to the nozzle plate of the passage substrate and includes a lower electrode, a piezoelectric body, and an upper electrode. The liquid supply chamber formed for each of the multiple nozzles is compartmented by a bulkhead from an other liquid supply chamber, and each of the liquid supply chamber and the other liquid supply chamber include multiple ink supply ports.

Inkjet head and inkjet recording device

Disclosed is an inkjet head including a channel substrate; a multi-interconnect structure formed on the channel substrate, including a vibration layer, plural piezoelectric elements each including a first electrode, a piezoelectric layer and a second electrode, and a common electrode interconnect electrically connected to the first electrode including a first common electrode interconnect and a second common electrode interconnect which has a thickness thicker than that of the first common electrode interconnect; and a support substrate bonded to the channel substrate through the multi-interconnect structure, the support substrate being provided with a first concave portion at a surface facing the channel substrate at an area corresponding to the second common electrode interconnect to accommodate the second common electrode interconnect.

Inkjet head

An inkjet head includes a channel substrate having multiple individual liquid chambers arranged in a shorter-side direction of the channel substrate, the individual liquid chambers being separated by multiple liquid chamber partition walls and communicating with ink supply openings; multiple diaphragms defining surfaces of the individual liquid chambers facing toward nozzle openings; multiple actuators formed on the diaphragms, each of the actuators being formed of a lower electrode, a piezoelectric element, and an upper electrode stacked in layers; and multiple individual electrode interconnects led out from the upper electrodes of the actuators, the individual electrode interconnects being connected to the corresponding upper electrodes on the nozzle opening side and on the ink supply opening side of the upper electrodes, the individual electrode interconnects being formed in regions where the liquid chamber partition walls are formed.

An image forming apparatus is disclosed that includes a liquid discharger including a liquid discharge head configured to discharge a droplet of liquid so as to form an image. The liquid discharge head includes multiple individual channels communicating with corresponding nozzles from which the liquid is discharged; a common channel configured to supply the liquid to the individual channels; a deformable member configured to form at least one wall face of the common channel; and a vibration damping member formed of a viscoelastic material, the vibration member being provided in contact with the deformable member.

Image forming apparatus

A piezoelectric actuator is disclosed. The piezoelectric actuator includes a base member and three or more piezoelectric element members in which plural piezoelectric elements are formed by slits. The three or more piezoelectric element members are arrayed in a line on the base member and a gap is formed at the connection position between two adjacent piezoelectric element members.

A liquid discharge head comprises a base member, a plurality of nozzles which discharge drops of a liquid, a plurality of liquid chambers which communicate with the plurality of nozzles respectively, and a plurality of piezoelectric elements generating a pressure to pressurize the liquid in each of the plurality of liquid chambers.
