An object of the present invention is to provide a wobble plate compressor equipped with a mechanism for preventing the rotation of the wobble plate which is simply structured, producible at low cost, and does not cause heavy noise or vibration. A wobble plate compressor comprises a main shaft driven by a power source, a wobble plate driven by the main shaft to swing, a piston connected to the wobble plate by a connecting rod, and a cylinder bore extending parallel to the main shaft to accept the piston. The connecting rod is connected to the wobble plate by a ball joint, precession of the connecting rod is allowed when the piston moves reciprocally, and the outer circumferential surface of the piston is forced against the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder bore when the wobble plate is driven by the main shaft to rotate and the connecting rod is driven by the rotating wobble plate to swing beyond the range of the precession. Thus, rotation of the wobble plate is prevented.

A variable displacement compressor comprising a first control means for detecting the suction pressure of fluid or the crank chamber pressure and controlling the suction pressure to a target control value, and a second control means including means for detecting high-pressure side pressure to control the displacement of the compressor so as to relax an increase in the high-pressure side pressure when it is equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold and increasing the control value of the suction pressure depending on the increase in the high-pressure side pressure in a region exceeding the threshold. The control system is simple, the control valve is inexpensive and simple and capable of stabilized operation, and the variable displacement compressor has the internal control means suitable for refrigeration cycle operating in a supercritical region.

In a scroll-type fluid machine (), a refrigerant in a discharge chamber () is adjusted at prescribed discharge pressure by using a discharge valve (), discharged from a scroll unit (), and supplied to a refrigeration circuit (), and the machine has a circulation path () for introducing the refrigerant in the discharge chamber from the refrigeration circuit toward a drive casing () while maintaining the refrigerant pressure, and an inlet path () formed in a compression casing () and leads the refrigerant in the circulation path to the rear side of a movable scroll () to make the led refrigerant counteract the refrigerant discharge pressure acting on the front side of the movable scroll.

A hybrid compressor includes a first compression mechanism, which is driven by a first drive source, and a second compression mechanism, which is driven by a second drive source. A first discharge port of the first compression mechanism and a second discharge port of the second compression mechanism are connected to a single discharge path.

An apparatus for controlling compressor discharge capacity includes a variable capacity compressor, a capacity adjustment device, a signal processing device, a capacity setting device, and a signal comparing device. The capacity adjustment device regulates a discharge capacity of the variable capacity compressor. The signal processing device receives a signal corresponding to a discharge capacity of the variable capacity compressor. The capacity setting device sets a first discharge capacity target value for the variable capacity compressor. The signal comparing device compares the discharge capacity signal to the fist discharge capacity target value and sends an activation signal to the capacity adjustment device, such that the discharge capacity signal approaches the first discharge capacity value.

A compressor includes a front housing, a cylinder block, a cylinder head, a torque transmission mechanism, a reciprocating mechanism, and torque determination means. The torque transmission mechanism includes a pulley, a plate-shaped elastic member, a hub, a drive shaft, and a rotor. The torque determination means includes a first marker affixed to the pulley, a second marker affixed to the hub a first sensor affixed to the front housing which generates a first timing signal when the first marker is positioned within substantially the same vertical plane as the first sensor, and a second sensor affixed to the front housing which generates a second timing signal when the second marker is positioned within substantially the same vertical plane as the second sensor. Moreover, there is a time differential between the generation of the first and second timing signals corresponding to the angular offsets, and the torque of the compressor is determinable from the time differential.

In a first state where the gaseous fluid has a relatively low flow rate in the suction passage, the open area of the suction passage is reduced. In a scroll type compressor in which a compression mechanism compresses a gaseous fluid with moving the gaseous fluid along a spiral path to produce a compressed gas, an escaping path is provided for escaping the compressed gas from the compression mechanism at an intermediate portion of the spiral path. A pressure transmission path transmits pressure of the compressed gas to a valve mechanism which is for controlling an open and an close of the escaping path. The pressure transmission path has a delay mechanism for delaying transmission of a change of the pressure to the valve mechanism.

A suction chamber is formed between one end of the displacement mechanism and the housing and communicates with the fluid inlet port. A discharge chamber is formed between other end of the displacement mechanism and the housing and communicates with the fluid outlet port. A first hollow space is created between a peripheral surface of a driving mechanism and the inner block, and communicates with the suction chamber. A second hollow space is created between the inner block and the housing and communicates with the discharge chamber. A pressure differential regulating device is disposed between the first hollow space and the second hollow space. Accordingly, a sealing mechanism of a driving mechanism achieves superior durability while maintaining the lubrication of a bearing under various operating conditions of the apparatus.
