A battery module according to an embodiment includes a battery; a breaker that switches electrical connection of an output line from the battery to outside; a power source switch circuit that receives an internal source voltage supplied from the battery, an external source voltage supplied from an external power source, and an boot signal from outside, and switches a source of power that supplies source voltage from the external power source to the battery when at least one of the external source voltage and the boot signal is at a second level; and a control circuit that uses, as power supply, the source voltage that is output from the power source switch circuit, and controls operation of the breaker and of the power source switch circuit.

Battery module

A lithium ion secondary battery of an embodiment includes: a battery can; an electrode assembly in the battery can formed by rolling up a positive electrode, a separator and a negative electrode; an organic electrolyte solution in the battery can; a positive electrode lead in the battery can connected to the positive electrode; a negative electrode lead in the battery can connected to the negative electrode; and an overcharge preventer in the battery can; a cap body sealing the battery can; a positive electrode terminal fixed to the cap body and connected to the positive electrode lead; and a negative electrode terminal fixed to the cap body and connected to the negative electrode lead.

Lithium ion secondary battery

In electronic equipment using a fuel cell as a power source, an antenna and a fuel cell, which are provided in a lower case of a main body receiving electronic parts, are arranged at a given distance from each other. An acceptable communication state can be established in the electronic equipment.

Electronic equipment

A PDA, which functions as an electronic unit, includes power supply which includes a fuel cell unit and an auxiliary power supply which is charged by an output of the fuel cell unit. A non-use state of the PDA is detected by non-use detection unit. Upon detection of the non-use state by the non-use detection unit, the output from the fuel cell unit is stopped and an output of the auxiliary power supply is shut off.
