A lamp unit is fastened to a bracket via screw fastening at two positions in the vehicle width direction where a rotation axis Axof the lamp unit extends. Then, the bracket includes protrusions formed at four positions in the direction where the rotation axis Axextends to allow the lamp unit to be rotated in the vertical direction by being in contact with a support panel of the lamp unit. Accordingly, with a simplified configuration, the contact portions of the four protrusions may function as fulcrums when the lamp unit rotated, and the lamp unit may be rotated in the vertical direction.

In a vehicle lamp, light emitting diodes that emit light are disposed on an inner side of a transparent surface cover. A conductive reflector that reflects the light emitted from the light emitting diodes toward the surface cover is provided between the light emitting diodes and the surface cover. The reflector is disposed so as to be in proximity to the light emitting diodes. A grounding connection terminal is provided on the reflector. The grounding connection terminal is connected to a vehicle body.

A vehicular lamp comprising includes a light-emitting diode that is used as a light source and that emits light; and a light transmitting member that is arranged in a path of the emitted light and through which the light is passed. The light transmitting member shields the light-emitting diode from infrared rays that travel in an opposite direction to a traveling direction of the light.

A light source module includes a substrate made with a recess portion formed on one face and an unformed portion not having the recess portion formed therein; a light emitting diode disposed on the recess portion of the substrate; a pair of power supply members disposed on the unformed portion of the substrate; and a connecting portion formed on the substrate and connecting the light emitting diode and the pair of power supply members. A part of an end edge of the recess portion conforms to a part of a side edge of the substrate.

Vehicular infrared irradiation lamp

A vehicle lamp, which is configured to irradiate infrared light in a vehicle forward direction, includes: a projection lens disposed along an optical axis extending in a lamp backward and forward direction; and first and second light source units disposed in the rear of the projection lens. The first light source unit includes: a first light emitting element which is disposed in the rear of a rear focal point of the projection lens and emits the infrared light; and a first reflector which reflects the infrared light toward the optical axis in a lamp forward direction. An infrared light distribution pattern is formed by the infrared light which is reflected by the first reflector to pass through the projection lens. The second light source unit includes: a second light emitting element which is disposed in the rear of the rear focal point of the projection lens and emits visible light; and a second reflector which reflects the visible light toward the optical axis in a lamp forward direction. A visible light distribution pattern is formed by the visible light which is reflected by the second reflector to pass through the projection lens. The visible light distribution pattern overlaps with the infrared light distribution pattern. When the first light source unit is turned on, the second light source unit is turned on simultaneously with the first light source.

Lamp piece units in a parabolic pillar type capable of forming a luminous intensity distribution pattern prolonged sideways are formed as side irradiating lamp piece units. Thereby, a portion of diffused and reflected light from reflectors of the respective side irradiating lamp piece units is prevented from being blocked by other lamp piece constituting members, even when a surface shape of a vehicular headlamp is flexed to the rear side. A vehicular lamp used in a vehicle includes a semiconductor light emitting element for producing light, a sealing member formed of a material, through which the light passes, for sealing the semiconductor light emitting element, a fixing member for fixing the semiconductor light emitting element by fitting an apparent position of one side of the semiconductor light emitting element when viewed through the sealing member into a reference position to which the semiconductor light emitting element is to be attached, and an optical member for forming at least a part of a cut line, which determines a boundary between bright and dark of a light distribution pattern of the vehicular lamp, by projecting a shape of the one side of the semiconductor light emitting element out of the vehicular lamp.

Whereas a light source bulb is used as a light source of a basic lamp piece unit which needs a large amount of irradiating light, with regard to an additional lamp piece unit lighted on and off repeatedly in accordance with a situation of running a vehicle, a semiconductor light emitting element having a fast response speed in being lighted on and off and excellent in durability against repeatedly lighting on and off the semiconductor light emitting elementas a light source thereof. Thereby, light can be irradiated in correspondence with the situation of running the vehicle and life of the light source can sufficiently been ensured. Further, the additional lamp piece unit is made to be able to be compactly constituted to promote a degree of freedom of arranging the additional lamp piece unit.

A vehicular lamp for use in an automobile, comprises: a light source module for generating light; an optical member operable to emit the light produced by the light source module out of the vehicular lamp; and a light source fixing member for fixing the light source module to a reference position a relative position of which with respect to the optical member is predetermined, wherein the light source module includes: a reference member which is fixed to be fitted to the reference position when the light source module is fixed to the optical member, a semiconductor light emitting element for emitting light from a lighting region that is predetermined; and a holding member for fitting a center of the lighting region to a position a relative position of which with respect to the reference member is predetermined, so as to hold the semiconductor-emitting light.

A plurality of lamp piece units constituting light sources by semiconductor light emitting elements are used as a first lamp piece unit which is lighted in a low beam mode. Additionally, a single lamp piece unit constituting a light source by an electric discharge bulb color temperature of emitted light of which is as high as that of the semiconductor light emitting element, is used as a second lamp piece unit, which is additionally lighted in a high beam mode. The vehicular headlamp may further include a plurality of the semiconductor light emitting elements being arranged in a row in a direction corresponding to at least a part of the cut line, wherein the optical device forms at least a part of the cut line by projecting the shape of the light emitting area with regard to each of the plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements towards positions arranged in a row over at least a part of the cut line.
