A transferring layer on a transfer cylinder improves separability for facilitating complete transfer of ink from the transferring layer onto the material to be printed. This separability arises from the inclusion of a fluorine compound or a silicone compound in the transferring layer. In order to prevent incomplete transfer of ink from an intaglio printing plate to this transferring layer of the transfer cylinder, the printing speed of the transfer cylinder relative to the plate is controlled, and at the same time the viscosity of the ink is kept in a certain range. The use of a screen mesh is eliminated, thus preventing various problems associated with its use. A fine pattern of thick film can thus be printed with accuracy on various materials including fragile materials and those with surface irregularities.

Thick film printing method

Disclosed is an electrochromic display device having an electrochromic layer and a solid proton conductive layer between a transparent electrode and a counter electrode. The main component of the solid proton conductive layer is a mixture of at least one of titanic acid, stannic acid, antimonic acid, zirconic acid, niobic acid, tantalic acid and silicic acid. The response time is shortened, the service life is prolonged, and printing may be adopted for formation of cells.

A method of preventing color accurate reproduction of a colored pattern with color photocopiers or color photography using photosensitive materials having spectral sensitivity in the wavelength ranges consisting of the human visible range and the adjacent wavelength ranges thereto, comprising, forming at least portion of the colored pattern with a color material having a spectral reflection factor curve with high spectral reflection in at least one of the areas of wavelength below 450 nm and above 650 nm so that a reproduction of the colored pattern is in a color not perceivable by a direct human viewer of the colored pattern. The color material also has at least one high spectral reflection peak or area within the human visible wavelength range so that the perceived color of the colored pattern is different from a reproduced color using color photocopiers or photography.

Method of preventing color accurate reproductions using color

A document with a color pattern which is resistant to forgery by photo reproducing process, at least a portion of the color pattern comprising, a coloring material having a spectral reflection factor curve which is relatively high at a wavelength in at least one of the areas below 450 nm and about 650 nm, with respect to the rest of the curve. A method is also disclosed for avoiding reproduction of a document having colored areas using photo reproducing processes.
