Transmission device and control method for continuously variable transmission

A vehicle control unit controls a vehicle having a device capable of controlling deceleration, such as a continuously variable transmission. An information detection device is capable of determining a relationship between the instant vehicle and a preceding vehicle running in front of the instant vehicle, for example, a headway distance and a relative speed therebetween. Based on the information derived from the detection device, the vehicle correlation is determined and compared with a predetermined target correlation. Then, deceleration of the instant vehicle is set by a deceleration setting device such that the determined correlation reaches the predetermined target correlation. The device for performing deceleration is controlled based on the deceleration that has been set.

An electric oil pump control system includes an accelerator sensor for inputting acceleration data according to the operation of the accelerator pedal of a vehicle to the control unit. The control unit controls the revolutions per minute of the motor such that the amount of oil discharged by the oil pump is sufficient for outputting the line pressure matching the acceleration data and the lubrication pressure.

Electric oil pump control system for vehicular power transmission

A control system for a vehicular drive unit comprising: an engine, a motor generator connecting to the output of the engine and acting as a power generator for recovering the energy from the wheels and as a motor for driving the output shaft of the engine, a battery for storing the energy recovered by the motor generator as electric power and for supplying electric power to drive the motor generator, a first clutch for connecting the motor generator and the wheels, stopping state detecter for detecting a stopping state of the vehicle, and a controller for controlling the engine, the motor generator and the first clutch. When the stopping state is detected by the stopping state detector, the controller releases the first clutch, sets the supply of a fuel to the engine to a predetermined rate lower than that of an idling RPM, and feeds electric power to the motor generator to maintain the rotation of the engine substantially at an idling RPM by the drive of the motor generator.
