An automated sewing device capable of neatly feeding a material(s) of easily contractible property to a sewing machine, without the material(s) being curled. In the automated sewing device, blower tubes are arranged so as to allow air to be blown therefrom to the material(s), thereby applying an appropriate degree of air pressure thereto at desired angles. With such blower tube arrangement, air pressure is effectively used for stretching the material(s) outwardly and neatly so as to prevent the same from curling, and also for automatically feeding the material(s) toward the sewing machine.

Automated sewing device

A method for sewing together covering elements is provided, in which two first threads and a second thread are used in a sewing machine having sewing needle means. In operating the sewing machine, the covering elements are fed at a given feeding pitch, such that the two first threads are entwined about the second thread in each of needle holes formed by the sewing needle means in the covering elements. Those entwined three threads fill and close the needle hole, thereby preventing leakage of a liquid foaming agent at a foaming process for forming a foamed product integral with the covering elements. The sewing needle means may comprise one sewing needle, in which case, both two first threads are used in that one sewing needle, or alternatively may comprises two sewing needles, in which case, the two first sewing threads are respectively used in the two sewing needles.

Method for sewing together covering elements adapted to undergo foaming process

An automated sewing device for automatically sewing together rectilinear and curved end portions respectively of two base materials. A guide element is provided to separate the two base materials from each other and guide them in a sewing direction, and a guide roller mechanism is provided, which operates to adjustingly bring one guide roller to contact with the base material having the curved end portion and rotate the guide roller to move that base material in a direction orthogonal with the sewing direction, thereby keeping the rectilinear and curved end portions in alignment with each other. Hence, a seam is created along the curved end portion with a constant margin given between the seam and the curved contour of the curved end portion. A pair of guide rollers may be provided to move two curved end portions in a direction orthogonal with the sewing direction for the same alignment purpose.

A sewing system which permits automated sewing of an anchor member to a covering material. By operation of this sewing system, the covering material is transferred by associated vertical and horizontal transfer mechanisms to a sewing position adjacent to a sewing machine, and then, the anchor member is supplied by the associated supply mechanism to a sewing start point at the sewing machine. The sewing machine operates to sew together the anchor member and covering material from that sewing start point to form a resulting sewn product of an anchor member and a covering material, after which, the resulting sewn product is discharged from the system to a discharging area. Also, the sewing system has a mechanism to adjustably locate and set the covering material at the sewing start point according to the length of the covering material. Further, an arrangement is provided for adjustably permitting supply of different lengths of anchor members to the sewing start point, for proper sewing with the covering member.

A method for sewing a curved edge of first base cover material with a second base material to form a trim cover assembly. The first base cover material is elastically deformed, as by expanding or contracting the same, such as to transform its curved edge into a rectilinear edge, and then, the thus-formed rectilinear edge of first base material is sewn with the second base material, whereby a trim cover assembly can be formed easily, using simple guide and retaining members.

Sewing method for forming a trim cover assembly

A device for automatically forming a loop-like anchor member on a trim cover assembly. The device includes a recessed groove arranged between a slit formed in a table of sewing machine and a movable feed member of sewing machine, a guide duct member extending through the slit from below the table up into the recessed groove, and a feed control device provided in an anchor material supplying/folding mechanism disposed below the table. An folded-over form of anchor member supplied via the guide duct member from the anchor material supplying/folding mechanism is fed and stopped by the feed control device to such degree that the forward extremity of the folded-over form of anchor member is moved in the recessed groove and positioned within the operative feeding range of the movable feed member of sewing machine. Hence, a trim cover assembly can be directly placed on the table and automatically sewn with the folded-over form of anchor member, without acute contact or dislocation therebetween, so as to precisely form a loop-like anchor member on the trim cover assembly.

An automated sewing device for sewing at least one base material with two curved corner portions, which includes a sewing machine, a base guide plate and a movable guide plate. The movable guide plate has three guide rollers, each being respectively disposed at the apexes of an equilateral triangle, in the reverse side thereof, and the movable guide plate is formed with a plurality of guide grooves in such a pattern that describes three loci respectively of the three guide rollers required to cause proper displacements of the movable guide plate for guiding at least one side of the base material including the two curved corner portions in a direction to the sewing needle of the sewing machine. With such arrangement, the base material is automatically fed and sewn by the feeding and sewing force of the sewing machine, insuring to precisely sew each of the two curved corner portions of base material along the curvature thereof.

A device for guiding a cover member to a sewing machine, which basically includes a control arm supported pivotally on the table of sewing machine, a guide roller assembly mounted rotatably to the control arm, and a link assembly supported pivotally on the sewing machine table. The guide roller assembly, which is to retain the cover member therein, may be adjustably displaced in conjuction with the link assembly by a control drive mechanism which is operatively connected to the control arm. With detection of one curved end of the cover member, this guiding device permits even a multilayer-type cover member to be sewn, smoothly and precisely, along its one curved end.

Device for guiding a cover member to a sewing machine

An automated multiple-needle sewing device which comprises a table, a guide plate movable on the table, a multiple-needle sewing mechanism, a feed roller mechanism, a yarn cutting mechanism, and a guide plate returning mechanism. A material to be sewn is placed on the guide plate and undergoes the sewing, feeding and yarn cutting processes in an automated manner. The guide plate is automatically returned to an initial position for mounting a new other material to be sewn. The feed roller mechanism includes a lifting device for lifting or raising a shaft and feed roller(s) away from contact with the material and guide plate being fed.

Automated multiple-needle sewing machine

A method for manufacturing a low carbon ferrochrome with a high chromium content of at least 70 weight % Cr comprising the steps of at least once nitriding and crushing a low carbon ferrochrome to form a crushed ferrochrome nitride and subjecting the crushed ferrochrome nitride to an acid treatment comprising introducing the crushed ferrochrome nitride into an acid solution and stirring the resultant mixture of the ferrochrome nitride and the acid solution, to remove iron. The acid treated ferrochrome nitride is denitrided by heating in a vacuum.

Method for manufacturing low carbon ferrochrome with high chromium

An automatic sewing apparatus which permits sewing together a curved edge of a first blank material and an edge of a second blank material, precisely and automatically. The construction of the sewing apparatus is such that on the table of sewing machine, a lower guide plate for securing the second blank material is movably mounted, and above the lower guide plate, provided is an upper guide plate having a movable guide piece slidable along a guide groove formed in the upper guide plate, the movable guide piece being for securing the first blank material. The lower guide plate is movable along a guide groove formed on the table. The two guide grooves are respectively formed in a shape conforming to a track required for orienting the relevant edge in a direction identical to the sewing path of the sewing machine.

Automatic sewing apparatus

An automatic feeding device for a sewing machine, comprising an arm, a cylinder fixed to one end of the arm, and a feeder provided on the other end of the arm. A base cloth is inserted into the feeder and transferred by the cylinder to an operative point adjacent the sewing machine, and further transferable back to a non-operative point away from the sewing machine, in an automatic way. The base cloth is retained and prevented against reverse movement within the feeder which includes a plurality of stopper pins, and forward and rearward retaining members.

A sewing apparatus which permits the automatically sewing of a base blank material in a sinuous or wavy fashion, and for that purpose, it comprises a sewing machine body, a stationary plate fixed of the table of the sewing machine body, the stationary plate having three guide grooves formed thereon, and a movable plate having three guide rollers provided thereunder, the movable plate receiving the base blank material thereon. The guide rollers are slidably fitted in the respective guide grooves so that the movable plate is moved in a manner guiding the blank material for sewing by the sewing machine body in a sinuous or wavy fashion. Also, a supplying guide mechanism and supportive guide mechanism are recited for sewing a rectilinear base blank material to a sinuously-cut base blank material, using the present sewing apparatus.

The guide rollers are slidably fitted in the respective guide grooves so that the movable plate is moved in a manner guiding the blank material for sewing by the sewing machine body in a sinuous or wavy fashion.
