A heating device includes a main body with an opening, a magnetron for generating electromagnetic waves for heating, a door for putting in and taking out an object to be heated, a reader, and a barrier. The magnetron emits electromagnetic waves into the main body. The door covers the opening of the main body. The reader reads information contained in a wireless IC tag attached to the object to be heated. The barrier acts a shield for the reader from the electromagnetic waves emitted by the magnetron when the door is closed, and the shield is broken when the door is opened.

A communication system for providing information of a medical doctor's questions to patients includes a medical doctor terminal apparatus, a patient terminal apparatus, and a database server apparatus for storing question sets for the medical doctor's questions to patients, where the medical doctor terminal apparatus, patient terminal apparatus and database server apparatus are connected through a communication network. The patient terminal apparatus generates question programs for making inquiries about the medical doctor's questions to patients in accordance with the question sets received from the database server apparatus, displays the questions for the medical doctor's questions to patients by execution of the generated question programs, enters answer data to the displayed questions, transmits the entered answer data to the database server apparatus, and stores the transmitted answer data in the database server apparatus. A themometer for measuring a body temperature by using infrared rays and on the basis of a measuring method in which a measurement error fluctuates depending upon the length of the measuring time including computation time. The measuring time is calculated on the basis of a required measurement error, so that a temperature can be measured in a suitable time corresponding to a required allowable error. A probe is formed of a porous structure so as to improve the heat insulating effect thereof, and an auxiliary adapter is provided to permit the thermometer to be fitted better in the earhole in spite of an individual difference in size thereof with the function of reporting a relative ovulation date based on a desired delivery date also incorporated in the themometer.

Ear type thermometer

A radiation thermometer measures temperature of the eardrum. The thermometer comprises a signal processor for calculating a temperature from an output of a light receptor, which receives only the infrared rays radiated directly from the eardrum and/or vicinity of it, and a notification system for notifying the temperature resulted from the calculation. Since the structure does not receive an influence of any radiant heats from other than those of the eardrum and/or vicinity of it, temperature change of a probe does not become a factor of measuring errors, so as to offer an accurate measurement of temperatures. An infrared-receiving element is positioned within a triangle configured by an intersection between a light path and an optical axis, and two image points of hypothetical end points formed by an optical condenser, when viewed in a cross sectional plane including the optical axis of the optical condenser, where (a) the light path is a path that extends from the hypothetical end point to the image point of the hypothetical end point formed by the optical condenser by passing through a rim of the optical condenser on the same side as the hypothetical end point with respect to the optical axis, and (b) the hypothetical end point is a point at which a straight line drawn from the rim of the optical condenser toward the probe in a manner to be tangent to an inner surface of the probe on the same side as the rim of the optical condenser with respect to the optical axis crosses a plane at a tip of the probe.

Logic simulation with efficient deadlock avoidance by selectively

Determination of an operation of a logic circuit is usually called logic simulation. The logic simulation in which changes in signal status at input terminals and output terminals of an element in the logic circuit to be simulated are represented by events and the signal status at the output terminal is calculated only for the element in which the event has occurred at the input terminal thereof, is called an event driven logic simulation. In the event driven logic simulation, a current time is used to decide and extract the event to be processed. In the prior art apparatus, the decision and extraction are interrupted when the current time is updated. In the present invention, identifiers (colors) are imparted to the events to group the events. The current time is updated when the event having a special color is not present. Thus, a simulation speed in the event driven logic simulation method and apparatus is improved.

Method and apparatus for logic simulation

Determining the operation of a logic circuit through calculation is generally called logic simulation. Especially, in event driven type logic simulation, signal status changes at input and output terminals of an element of the logic circuit are deemed as events and only for an element in which an event occurs at its input terminal, the signal status at its output terminal is calculated. In the event driven type logic simulation, a series of signal status changes externally applied to the logic circuit is stored, as injection events, in a memory of a logic simulation apparatus. If injection events are all stored in the memory before execution of the simulation or injection events are stored in the memory by temporarily stopping the simulation after start thereof, most of memory capacity is consumed by the injection events or simulation speed is degraded. To solve this problem, an identifier (called color) is added to an event and when an injection event is injected, the injected event is associated with auxiliary time representing a minimum of values of event times of injection events expected to be injected after injection of that injected event. Color and auxiliary time are used to permit execution of the simulation in parallel with injection of injection events.
