A card-type apparatus includes a circuit substrate and a card-type case for accommodating the circuit substrate including a flat portion disposed opposite to the circuit substrate with a gap between the circuit substrate and the flat portion. A memory card accommodating space, provided between the flat portion of the card-type case and the circuit substrate, is capable of detachably accommodating the memory card inserted from a memory card slot along the circuit substrate surface. A terminal is provided on a region of the circuit substrate in the memory card accommodating space. A plate section for adjusting the gap is provided on the flat portion on the side of the memory card accommodating space. On the plate section, a protrusion is provided so as to increase the contact pressure between the memory card and the terminal by pressing the memory card stored in the memory card accommodating space against the terminal.

Card-type apparatus

A card apparatus includes a card case housing a circuit substrate, a case main body and an extended portion made of resin material and being disposed integrally with the case main body. The extended portion accommodates one end side portion of the circuit substrate. The case main body includes a metal cover disposed opposite to at least one of the front surface and the back surface of the circuit substrate. A metal cover extension extending from the metal cover and constituted of a first conductive plate is embedded in a case wall constituting the extended portion, and a second conductive plate constituting an antenna element is embedded in the case wall constituting the extended portion, the second conductive plate being provided at a predetermined distance apart from the metal cover extension.

Card apparatus and method of producing the same

In an antenna feed structure for electrically connecting a rotatable antenna to a circuit formed on a circuit board by means of a feeding metallic part, an antenna rotary shaft formed so as to protrude from one end of the antenna and formed of a conductor has a preferably spherical end. The feeding metallic part has a mounting portion, an antenna contact-and-connection portion, and an elastic supporting portion. The mounting portion is mounted to the circuit board. The antenna contact-and-connection portion is brought into contact with and is connected to the end of the antenna rotary shaft. The elastic supporting portion supports the antenna contact-and-connection portion at the mounting portion and produces biasing force towards the antenna rotary shaft from the antenna contact-and-connection portion. The antenna contact-and-connection portion has a recess wall preferably having a spherical shape which is in correspondence with the spherical shape of the end of the antenna rotary shaft. The spherical end of the antenna rotary shaft press-contacts the spherical recess wall of the antenna contact-and-connection portion.

Antenna feed structure

A device with a memory card insertion/removing mechanism has a memory card holder and a pushing-out member holder disposed in the device, and a slot communicating with the memory card holder. The pushing-out member holder communicates with the memory card holder. A pushing-out member is accommodated in the pushing-out member holder. The device has an opening exposing a portion of the pushing-out member to the exterior. The pushing-out member moves in a card insertion direction by the pushing force of a memory card when the memory card is inserted in the memory card holder from the slot, and pushes out the memory card in the memory card holder to the exterior when the pushing-out member is externally operated through the opening and is moved in a card push-out direction.

A band-pass filter includes electrodes formed on both upper and lower surfaces of a dielectric plate, and a plurality of non-electrode portions on the upper and lower surfaces of the dielectric plate so that the non-electrode portions face each other across the dielectric plate to form resonators in regions confined by the non-electrode portions on the dielectric plate. The resonators other than at least input- and output-stage resonators are n&lgr;2 resonators, where &lgr; denotes one wavelength and n is an integer more than one. The first- and second-stage resonators, and the third- and fourth-stage resonators are magnetically (inductively) coupled, and the second- and third-stage resonators are capacitively or inductively coupled. The band-pass filter therefore provides satisfactory attenuation characteristic from the pass band to the stop band, and can also be compact and lightweight.

Electrodes having slot patterns, electrodes having strip patterns, or dielectric strips, for example, form transmission lines and resonator patterns on the upper faces of dielectric substrates or conductive substrates, for example. A dielectric filter provided in this invention has insertion-loss characteristics of 2 dB or lower in the range of 1 to 2% of a specific band. The dielectric filter includes an upper case and a lower case, a dielectric substrate, an electrode formed on mutually opposing surfaces thereof, and a plurality of pairs of openings formed in the electrodes on the two opposing surfaces, so as to form a plurality of dielectric resonators, and input-output couplers for coupling to each of an input-stage dielectric resonator and an output-stage dielectric resonator among the plurality of dielectric resonators. In the input-stage and output-stage dielectric resonators, the opening of the electrode is rectangular or polygonal, whereas in at least one of the dielectric resonators other than the input-stage and output-stage dielectric resonators, it is substantially circular.

Dielectric filter, dielectric duplexer, and transceiver having circular and polygonal electrode openings

A dielectric filter includes a case, a substrate having microstrip lines formed thereon, and a dielectric plate having non-electrode parts serving as dielectric resonators. The case includes a supporting part for supporting the lower surface of the dielectric plate and includes a side wall surrounding the side faces of the dielectric plate wherein the supporting part and the side wall are formed in an integral fashion. The substrate is bonded to the case and the dielectric plate is mounted on the supporting part of the case. A metal cover is then placed on the case such that the opening of the case is closed with the cover. In the dielectric filter constructed in the above-described manner, warping of the case for supporting the dielectric plate is suppressed and thus the stress exerted on the dielectric plate is reduced. As a result, the dielectric plate is prevented from being separated from the case and also prevented from having a crack. The above-described structure also allows the dielectric filter to be formed into a small size. The invention also provides a duplexer and a communication device using such a dielectric filter.

In a dielectric resonator device, electrodes having electrode non-formation sections opposite to each other and having substantially the same shape and size are formed on the opposite main faces of a dielectric plate. The portion of the dielectric plate sandwiched between the electrode non-formation sections opposite to each other is used as a dielectric resonator section. Further, the characteristics of the dielectric resonator device are adjusted by attaching dielectric chips inside of the dielectric resonator section or between adjacent dielectric resonator sections.

The dielectric substrate is arranged with the aid of spacers between a metal-made upper conductor case and a lower conductor case having a shield conductor formed therein, the upper and lower conductor cases being positioned to face each other with gaps left relative to the dielectric substrate. In a dielectric filter in which electrodes are formed on both principal planes of a dielectric plate while pairs of electrode non-formed portions having substantially the same shape are defined in the electrodes in opposing relation, areas positioned between the pairs of opposing electrode non-formed portions serve as resonance areas, coupling members are provided to be coupled with the resonance areas, and a cavity is provided to define a space surrounding the resonance areas and the coupling members, a signal is prevented from propagating in the parallel plate mode through a waveguide path formed between electrodes formed on both principal planes of the base plate serving as part of a cavity. Electrodes are formed on both principal planes of a dielectric plate (3) with pairs of electrode non-formed portions (4a, 4b, 4c, etc.) defined in the electrodes in opposing relation so that areas positioned between the electrode non-formed portions serve as resonance areas. Microstrip lines (9, 10) are provided on an upper surface of a base plate (6), and an electrode (11) is formed in spaced relation from the microstrip lines (9, 10) by a predetermined distance. Through holes (13) for making electrical conduction between the electrodes formed on both principal planes of the base plate (6) are bored in the base plate in array.
