A fluid film is formed stably over a long distance from a nozzle without breaking a slit fluid jet by allowing fluid flow out from a slit to form a slit fluid jet. A crossed flow is superimposed causing a flip-flop phenomenon upon the slit fluid jet. Energy of a fluctuation velocity component of the slit fluid jet is absorbed into a vibration component of a flip-flop crossed flow so as to form a stable fluid film.

Method and device for stabilizing slit fluid jet

A transport system for a spherical object. The transport system has a supply of a first fluid and a passageway for communication of a spherical object in a path between an inlet and an outlet. At least part of the passageway is bounded by a first tube having a first annular wall with at least one opening through the first annular wall. The first tube guides flow of a spherical object in the first fluid from the inlet towards the outlet. The transport system further includes a source of vacuum in communication with the passageway through the at least one opening through the first annular wall. The source of vacuum produces a low pressure region which causes the first fluid in the passageway to be drawn from the passageway through the at least one opening through the first annular wall. The transport system further includes a supply of a second fluid which is in communication with a spherical object moving between the inlet and the outlet.

In an elemental analysis method of analyzing a sample as an analysis target using atoms generated upon dissociation of the sample, a plasma is generated using a gas serving as a plasma source to be supplied in a torch having a conical cylinder thereof. A sample flow obtained by evaporating the sample using the gas as a carrier gas or a sample flow containing a component of the sample is supplied to the plasma. The sample flow or the plasma containing the sample flow is changed into a spiral flow, and the component of the sample is dissociated. The sample is analyzed in accordance with the state of an atom generated by dissociation of the component of the sample. An elemental analysis apparatus is also disclosed.

A Coanda spiral flow unit wire installation device having a tube passage connecting port, an inlet for a conducting wire or an induction wire, and a Coanda slit for the supply of compressed fluid to generate Coanda spiral flow in the direction of the tube passage, a compressed fluid control device which comprises a hand grip with a fluid supply passage and a compressed fluid supply valve unit provided in the hand grip. The unit is small-sized and light-weight and can be hand held so as to permit easier and more efficient wire installation in limited space situations.

In a Coanda spiral flow unit installation device, a Coanda flow supply device for the supply of a conducting wire or an induction wire is provided at the suction and induction port through which the conducting wire or the induction wire is induced. A feeding device is desposed on the outer side thereof. This device permits more stable installation at high speed and high efficiency. It is possible to install a thin optical fiber over a long distance.

In a method of passing a wire, cable, optical fiber or the like through a passage, a coanda spiral flow unit is connected to the passage, a pressure release port is provided along the length from the coanda spiral flow unit to the end of the passage, compressed gas is supplied from a portable-type compressed gas supply through a coanda slit of said coanda spiral flow unit, a conductor or a guide is inserted through an end introducing port of said coanda spiral flow unit and passed through the passage. Smooth passing operations can be conducted at high speeds, even through a long and thin passage with many bends.

Method for passing a cable, a wire or an optical fiber through a passage

The present invention provides a method for transferring agglomerative short fibers such as natural fibers, ceramic fibers or metals, by means of a Coanda spiral flow produced by feeding a pressurized fluid. In this fluid-transfer, short fibers can be smoothly transferred with an orientation while causing swelling and dissociation of agglomerates thereof. The defects inevitable in the conventional transfer under turbulent flow conditions such as adherence of fibers to the inner wall of the pipe, agglomeration and breakage of whiskers are completely solved. High-speed oriented-transfer at a speed of several to 100 m/second is possible by means of the Coanda spiral flow.

Method for transferring short fibers

A spiral gas stream is generated in a pipeline when a uniform flow of gas flowing in a cylinder having inner diameter larger than that of the pipeline is introduced through a funnelform reducer into the inlet of the pipeline and bringing the mean gas stream velocity in the pipeline faster than 20 meter per second. The uniform flow of gas is formed in the cylinder easily when outside low pressure gas is fed into the cylinder through a feed gas inlet pipe installed diagonally at the side of the cylinder apart from the bottom plate so as to make the flow line of the feed gas to cross the axis of the cylinder and inclined toward the bottom plate. When solid particles are introduced into the spiral gas stream zone, they are transported to the outlet of the pipeline. As the compressed gas layer is formed along the inside wall of the pipeline by the spiral motion of gas stream, solid particles don't contact directly with the inside wall of the pipeline and don't hurt it. As the center part of the cross section of the pipeline becomes very low pressure, especially along the axis of the pipeline, solid particles containing or accompanying volatile matters are desiccated or concentrated as a result of the evaporation of volatile matters while being transported in the pipeline. Solid particles deposited on the bottom of water can be dredged and dehydrated by the spiral gas stream transportation system. When solid particles transported by spiral gas stream in two or more pipelines are arranged to collide with mutually, pulverized fine solid particles are recovered. A chemical reaction which can not or hardly to proceed at normal temperature and pressure is promoted in a spiral gas stream zone.

Apparatus and method for the generation and utilization of a spiral gas

A spiral fluid flow is available for conveying, drying or separating pulverulent substances particle substances, slurries or gases. To obtain a high speed stable spiral fluid flow, there is used a device provided with a slit formed between a main conical cylinder connected to a pipe line and a subcylinder connected to the main cylinder on the opposite side remote from the pipe line, and a pressurized fluid is supplied through this slit. The device is also provided with a pressurized fluid supply section.

Method of generating spiral fluid flow and the device therefor

Uniform flow of gas flowing in a cylinder having inner diameter larger than that of a pipeline is introduced through a funnelform reducer into the inlet of the pipeline, where uniform flow of gas turned to a spiral gas stream by bringing to the mean gas stream velocity faster than 20 meter per second there. When solid particles are introduced into the spiral gas strem zone, they are transported to the outlet of the pipeline. A compressed gas layer is formed along the inside wall of the pipeline by the spiral motion of gas stream, and the layer prevents the direct contact of the solid particles to the inside wall of the pipeline which causes the erosion of the pipeline. As the center part of the cross section of the pipeline becomes very low pressure, especially along the axis of the pipeline, solid particles containing or accompanying volatile matters are desiccated or concentrated as a result of the evaporation of volatile matters while being transported in the pipeline. When grinding powder (abrasive) is transported by the spiral gas stream and spattered on an object, the surface of the object is ground without consumption of much energy.
