To provide a container inspection/cargo-handling system capable of efficiently inspecting import/export containers. In order to solve the aforesaid problem, a container inspection/cargo-handling system of the present invention includes an automated guided vehicle (AGV)that travels in circulation in a quay area. Further, on a circulation travel line of the AGV, provided are a quay craneloading/unloading a containerto/from the AGV, a radiation inspection deviceinspecting a cargo in the containerloaded on the AGV, and a container transfer meansfor transferring the containerbetween the AGVand a manned transport vehicle (container transport vehicle)

The guide device for craning a container has guides so arranged that they can be moved vertically by a raising/lowering device mounted on the spreader body and can be positioned at the corners of the spreader. The guides are lowered by the raising/lowering device and secured to the bottom corners of the container held by the spreader. Then the spread parts of the guides project from the lower end of the container to secure the spreader to the container. The structure of the spreader is simple and the weight is light.
