There is provided a control device for a vehicle oil supply device that includes a mechanical oil pump configured to be rotatable forward and in reverse, an electric oil pump configured to suction oil stored in an oil storage portion that is common to the mechanical oil pump and the electric oil pump, a first filtering member provided to a first strainer of the mechanical oil pump, and a second filtering member provided to second strainer of the electric oil pump. The control device includes a controller configured to control the rotational speed of the electric oil pump. The controller is configured to restrict the rotational speed of the electric oil pump when the mechanical oil pump is rotated in reverse compared to when the mechanical oil pump is rotated forward.

A vehicle includes a heat exchanging type cooling device comprising an undercover disposed below the cooler body and having an air outlet through which the ambient air discharged through the lower surface of the cooler body is exhausted downwardly into outside atmosphere, the air outlet being formed through the undercover so as to extend in a vertical direction. The undercover is provided with a plurality of fins disposed within the air outlet such that the fins are spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, each of the fins extending in a width direction of the vehicle and being inclined such that a lower end of the fin is located backward of its upper end in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.

A cooling device of a vehicle includes a cooler body of a heat exchanging type and an air intake duct which are disposed in a rear portion of the vehicle. The air intake duct extends backwardly from the cooler body in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and is disposed such that the air intake duct is displaceable relative to the cooler body forwardly of the vehicle upon application of an impact load to the air intake duct. A vehicle includes a heat exchanging type cooling device includes an undercover disposed below the cooler body and having an air exhaust passage into which the ambient air discharged through the lower surface of the cooler body is introduced and through which the ambient air is exhausted into outside atmosphere, under a negative air pressure generated due to an air stream generated during running of the vehicle; and an elastically deformable sealing member in a closed form interposed between the air exhaust passage and the lower surface of the cooler body. The undercover is attached to the body of the vehicle, such that a gap is provided between the undercover and the lower surface of the cooler body, and such that the sealing member fluid-tightly closes the gap.

A vehicle drive device comprises: a power transmission mechanism transmitting a drive power from a drive power source to a plurality of wheels; a differential gear mechanism provided in the power transmission mechanism and distributing the drive power input from the drive power source to the plurality of wheels; a casing housing the power transmission mechanism; and an oil pump sucking a lubricating oil stored in the casing, and the device drives the oil pump in conjunction with rotation of the differential gear mechanism. In the device, a catch tank storing the lubricating oil is provided in the casing, an introduction path is formed in the casing for introducing the lubricating oil scooped up by the differential gear mechanism during backward running of a vehicle into the catch tank, and a discharge oil passage connected to a discharge port of the oil pump is connected to the catch tank.

Vehicle drive device

A vehicle drive device that includes a case forming a first accommodating space that accommodates a speed change device and a second accommodating space that accommodates a rotary electric machine; an storage that is disposed under the first accommodating space and stores oil; a hydraulic pump including a suction that suctions the oil from the oil storage; a first oil passage that supplies the oil discharged by the hydraulic pump to the speed change device as hydraulic oil; a second oil passage that supplies the oil discharged by the hydraulic pump to the rotary electric machine as cooling oil; and a third oil passage that returns the oil supplied to the rotary electric machine, from the second accommodating space to the oil storage, by allowing the oil to flow in a direction from the second accommodating space toward the first accommodating space.

A control process including the following steps is executed. The control process includes, at the time of switching from series-parallel mode to series mode, a step of reducing an engine torque, a step of releasing a clutch, a step of reducing a reaction torque of a first rotary electric machine and a step of increasing a torque of a second rotary electric machine, and, when synchronization is started and a step of increasing a positive torque of the first MG, a step of starting engagement of a clutch, and, when a rotation speed of the first rotary electric machine and a rotation speed of an engine are synchronous with each other, a step of engaging the clutch.

Hybrid vehicle

A transmission unit is able to switch between a non-neutral state where power of an engine is transmitted via a path Kand a neutral state where power of the engine is not transmitted via the path K. A clutch is able to switch between an engaged state where power is transmitted from the engine to a first MG and a released state where transmission of power from the engine to the first MG is interrupted. When the transmission unit is controlled to the non-neutral state and, at the same time, the clutch is set to the released state, a vehicle is operable in series-parallel mode. When power is transmitted via the path Kby directly coupling the engine to the first MG by the clutch and the path Kis interrupted by controlling the transmission unit to the neutral state, the vehicle is operable in series mode.

Hybrid vehicle operable in series mode and in series-parallel mode

A power transmission apparatus includes a first electric motor, a power split mechanism, a second electric motor, a case, a support wall, and a breather mechanism. The case accommodates the first electric motor, the power split mechanism, and the second electric motor. The support wall is provided between the power split mechanism and the second electric motor. The breather mechanism is located in a rotational angle range that is at least equal to 90 degrees and is smaller than 180 degrees. The breather mechanism has a through hole and a breather chamber. The breather chamber is provided at a case inner side end of the through hole and is opened in a direction that does not oppose a virtual surface that passes through the rotational axis at a rotational angle of 90 degrees of the second electric motor.

Power transmission apparatus for vehicle

A hybrid vehicle is able to select series-parallel mode by engaging a clutch (C) or a brake (B) and releasing a clutch (CS), and is able to select series mode by releasing both the clutch (C) and the brake (B) and engaging the clutch (CS). The hybrid vehicle includes a simultaneous supply prevention valve () that prevents simultaneous engagement of the clutch (CS) and at least one of the clutch (CI) or the brake (B). When a signal pressure of at least one of hydraulic pressure for engaging the clutch (C) or hydraulic pressure for engaging the brake (B) is input to the simultaneous supply prevention valve (), the simultaneous supply prevention valve () is switched to a state where supply of hydraulic pressure to the clutch (CS) is cut off.

A manual release device for a parking lock mechanism includes an operating lever, a cable and an idle motion mechanism. The idle motion mechanism includes a body portion, a lever provided on the body portion, a helical compression spring, and a contact portion provided on the shaft. The cable is coupled to the lever. A distal end of the lever is arranged below a turning center of the lever. The parking lock mechanism is configured, when the parking lock mechanism is in a locked state, to be switched into an unlocked state as the body portion contacts the contact portion to cause the shaft to turn when the lever is turned against an urging force of the urging member as a result of operation of the operating lever to cause the body portion to turn from the normal position to the actuated position.
