A resistor formed by a laminated structure having a resistance body interposed between two conductive plates, electrical connection members being connected to the conductive plates, and a method for manufacturing the resistor. The resistor includes a first connection portion formed on a first conductive plate by partially cutting off a laminate part of a second conductive plate and the resistance body, and a second connection portion formed on the second conductive plate by partially cutting off a laminate part of the first conductive plate and the resistance body. The method for manufacturing the resistor includes the steps of applying solder to one of the two conductive plates and the resistance body, thereafter passing the component through a high temperature oven and thereby melting the solder, and fixing the resistance body and the two conductive plates together in an electrically conductive state with the resistance body interposed between the two conductive plates, by solidifying the solder.

Resistor and resistor manufacturing method

An antenna rod, which is extendible and retractable, is moved up and down by a cable with a rack, and the cable is moved with rotation of a pinion gear. The rotational force of a DC motor is transferred to the pinion gear by a route of a worm, a worm wheel, gears, a damper gear, and a damper. The damper is a coil of resilient metal wire, and both ends of the coiled wire, respectively, engage stopping members, which are provided at the center portions of the damper gear and the pinion gear. When the pinion gear is at a standstill, the rotational energy of the damper gear is accumulated in the damper. The motor is rotated under control of a control circuit in response to the operation of a switch. The drive current for the motor is shut off by a detecting signal from a lock detector during the course of accumulating the rotational energy by the damper. A seat belt retractor angularly and displaceably secured to the floor pan of a motor vehicle so as to ensure a smooth belt extending operation and also prevent wear on the side edges of the belt. A mechanical inertia locking device is provided with the seat belt retractor, which locking device is required to be normally held in its horizontal position to ensure satisfactory locking operation upon the sudden deceleration of the vehicle. For the purpose, a quadric crank chain or a gear train is linked with the inertia locking device in order to hole it horizontally regardless of the angular movement of the seat belt retractor.

A passive seat belt system having a seat belt for restraining a wearer in the seat from being thrown away when large acceleration or deceleration has been exerted on the wearer, a reinforcing strip combined with the seat belt to give the seat belt a rigidity so that the seat belt can stretch by the help of only the above reinforcing strip, and a driving unit connected with the reinforcing strip for driving the strip so that the seat belt can automatically be stretched forward over the seat, whereby the wearer gets in and out of a vehicle very freely.
