An electronic keyboard musical instrument with a plurality of keys is provided. The electronic keyboard musical instrument comprises a detection sensor configured to detect a gentle key press to an adjacent position that is shallower than and adjacent to a resonant performance position; a computer configured to, when the detection sensor detects a gentle key press to the adjacent position of at least one first key, execute a resonance permission process to give a permission to output a resonant tone of the at least one first key; and a tone emission device configured to, when at least one second key different from the at least one first key and having a resonant relationship with the at least one first key is regularly pressed, emit a regular tone of the at least one second key and the resonant tone of the at least one first key.

Provided is an electronic keyboard, which has a sequentially variable operating terminal, that comprises: a detector for detecting an operational displacement of the sequentially variable operating terminal, a linear converter for converting into a linear value the operational displacement of the sequentially variable operating terminal that is detected by the detector, a linear conversion table that is to be referred to when the linear converter converts the operational displacement into the linear value, a bender MIDI converter for converting into a bender MIDI value the linear value that is obtained by the linear converter, and a bender MIDI conversion table that is to be referred to when the bender MIDI converter converts the linear value into the bender MIDI value; and wherein the bender MIDI converter refers to the bender MIDI conversion table to convert the operational displacement of the sequentially variable operating terminal into a discrete bender MIDI value.

In the sound source system, the waveform sampled from the sounds of keys pressed down with two or more kinds of intensity are synthesized in a specified rate, thereby forming the waveform of the sounds of keys pressed down with the other kind of intensity. Thus, almost the actual instrumental deep sounds can be reproduced. The sound waveform sampled from weak key presses is passed through a low pass filter, and the filtered waveform composed only of low order harmonic components is transformed to weak press data in the pulse code modulation system for the storage. Similarly, the sound waveform sampled from strong key presses are passed through a high pass filter, thereby removing the low order harmonic components. The filtered waveform composed only of the high order harmonic components are transformed to strong press data in the pulse code modulation system for the storage. The high pass filter can remove the frequency components which pass through the low pass filter. By mixing the weak and strong press data in the rate determined by the key press intensity, the sound waveform signal of optional key press intensity is formed.
