A method and a single-phase voltage type AC/DC converting device and a three-phase voltage type AC/DC converting device arranged between a load and a distribution network. The converting devices are capable of contributing to stabilize a system frequency and a system voltage. By applying an autonomous parallel operation control technique of an AC/DC converter to a load, which receives power from a distribution network, drooping characteristics (governor-free characteristics) for a frequency of active power and voltage-maintaining characteristics (V-Q characteristics) may be obtained. The governor-free characteristics automatically decrease and increase received power when the system frequency decreases and increases, so that even the load may contribute to stabilize the system frequency. The V-Q characteristics generates/absorbs reactive power so as to maintain a voltage at a receiving end constant regardless of load power to further stabilize the system voltage.

Single-phase voltage type AC/DC converter, three-phase voltage type AC/DC converter, and stabilization control method

A capacitor is connected between direct current voltage terminals, and inductance means is connected between one end of the capacitor and one of load terminals. In a case in which the direct current voltage exceeds a set value, voltage at both ends of the capacitor is shared by the first and second switching elements that are not electrically conductive; in a case in which the direct current voltage is below the set value, the first and second switching elements are electrically conductive on a periodic basis or as needed to output reversed-polarity voltage between load terminals; and in a case in which the first and second switching elements are turned off, voltage at both ends of the capacitor restricts voltage applied to both ends of the first and second switching elements, during a period in which the first and second feedback rectifier elements are electrically conductive.

Reversed-polarity pulse generating circuit for direct current plasma and direct current plasma power supply unit

A series resonant converter of the present invention includes an inverter circuit having at least a pair of a first and second switching device connected between two input terminals, a transformer having a primary winding and a secondary winding connected to the inverter circuit, a first and second resonant capacitor connected to a secondary side of the transformer and connected in series to each other between two output terminals, a first and second unidirectional device connected in series to each other, and a resonant induction device that is operated along with the first and second resonant capacitor and resonates in series. The first and second unidirectional device are configured such that current does not flow from the first and second resonant capacitor to the input terminal by preventing electric charge of the first and second resonant capacitor from being discharged to a primary side of the transformer.

A series resonant converter circuit that reduces power loss is provided that includes an inverter circuit having at least a pair of first and second switching elements that is connected between DC input terminals, a transformer connected to this inverter circuit, a resonant inductance means that are connected in series to a primary winding wire or a secondary winding wire of the transformer, a primary-side resonant capacitor that is connected in series to the resonant inductance means through the first or second switching element, first and second secondary-side resonant capacitors that are connected to each other in series between the DC input terminals, first and second unidirectional elements that are connected to each other in series between the DC output terminals, and a resonant inductance means that cooperates with resonant capacitance from the primary-side resonant capacitor and the first and second secondary-side resonant capacitors to resonate in series.

Discharge power supply apparatus

A low cost power conversion device operating at a high frequency with high efficiency is realized by using semiconductor switching devices such as FETs being inexpensive and having low withstand voltages and low forward voltage drops. A second error signal obtained by comparing the voltages across two input capacitors connected between both ends of a DC input power supply is subtracted/added from/to a first error signal obtained from a voltage corresponding to a combined DC output of rectifying circuits and the voltage corresponding to a predetermined reference power. Based on the resultant signals, the voltage of a control signal supplied to an inverter circuit in which the voltage across an input capacitor is higher is increased, while the voltage of a control signal supplied to another inverter circuit in which the voltage across another input capacitor is lower is decreased, thereby balancing the voltages across the input capacitors.

Power conversion device

An energy accumulating capacitor such as an excimer laser is prevented from being overcharged by stored energy in a resonance inductance device. In a resonant capacitor charging circuit, when it is forecast that an energy accumulating capacitor can be charged to a target charge voltage by the magnetic energy of a resonant inductance device after a first semiconductor switch is switched off, the first semiconductor switch is switched off, and when actually reaching the target charge voltage, a second semiconductor switch is switched on or off, in order to charge with high accuracy.

Capacitor charging method and charging apparatus

The charging apparatus charges a load capacitor to a predetermined voltage, and comprises an inverter which is connected to a dc power, a transformer which is connected to the ac side of the inverter, and an inductance which is connected in series to the primary and secondary windings of the transformer and comprises leakage inductance of the transformer, a rectifier which is connected to the secondary side of the transformer, and a switch element which is provided on the secondary side of the transformer. The inverter comprises a switching semiconductor element, connected to the dc power, and a feedback diode, connected in reverse parallel to the switching semiconductor element. The switching element short-circuits the output of the inductance when the charge voltage of the load capacitor has reached a predetermined value, preventing an inertial current, generated by energy which has accumulated in the inductance, from flowing to the load capacitor.

A power supply device for an X-ray tube includes first and second capacitors connected in series at one ends thereof which are connected with a secondary winding of a high-tension transformer. Connectedly arranged between a positive output terminal and the ground are first and second diodes which are connected in series to assume the same polarity, each having a cathode as a positive output side, a connecting point of the first and second diodes being connected with the other end of the first capacitor. Also connectedly arranged between a negative output terminal and the ground are third and fourth diodes which are connected in series to assume the same polarity, each having an anode as a negative output side, a connecting point of said third and fourth diodes being connected with the other end of the second capacitor. First and second high-tension cables include a covering conductor connected with the ground, respectively. The first high-tension cable is connectedly arranged between the positive output terminal and an anode of the X-ray tube, whereas the second high-tension cable is connectedly arranged between the negative output terminal and a cathode of the X-ray tube.

Power supply device for X-ray tube

A current detecting circuit for an X-ray tube is disclosed which includes a DC high voltage generating circuit connected across a filament and an anode of the X-ray tube and current detecting means connected in series in a filament circuit. The filament, which is at a high potential, receives a power from a secondary winding of an isolation transformer, which has sufficient dielectric strength to insulate a highest voltage generated by said DC high voltage generating circuit. A rectifier circuit is arranged to rectify a current fed from said secondary winding or another winding having same dielectric strength as that of said secondary winding, and said rectifier circuit supplies a power to a signal transmitting circuit. The signal transmitting circuit is energized, according to the current detected by said current detecting means, to transmit an output signal. The output signal is transmitted through electrically isolated transmission means to a signal receiving circuit, which is at a ground potential. In case of an X-ray tube of double-filament type having a large focal spot filament and a small focal spot filament, switching means is provided to automatically change over a resistance of a current detecting resistor, in accordance with selection of the large focal filament and the small focal spot filament.
