Coated steel material

A surface-treated steel sheet for battery containers according to the present invention includes a Ni&#x2014;Co&#x2014;Fe-based diffusion alloy plating layer on at least one surface of a base steel sheet, in which the diffusion alloy plating layer is consisted of a Ni&#x2014;Fe alloy layer and a Ni&#x2014;Co&#x2014;Fe alloy layer, which are arranged sequentially from the base steel sheet side, the diffusion alloy plating layer has a Ni coating weight within a range of 3.0 g/mor more and less than 8.74 g/mand a Co coating weight within a range of 0.26 g/mor more and 1.6 g/mor less, with a total of the Ni coating weight and the Co coating weight being less than 9.0 g/m, when a surface of the diffusion alloy plating layer is analyzed by an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Co: 19.5 to 60%, Fe: 0.5 to 30%, and Co+Fe: 20 to 70% in atom % are satisfied, and a thickness of the Ni&#x2014;Fe alloy layer is within a range of 0.3 to 1.3 &#x3bc;m.

Surface-treated steel sheet for battery containers and manufacturing method of surface-treated steel sheet for battery containers

A Ni-plated steel sheet according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a base steel sheet; an Fe&#x2014;Ni diffusion alloy region disposed on the base steel sheet; and a Ni plating region disposed on the Fe&#x2014;Ni diffusion alloy region, in which an average equivalent circle diameter of crystal grains made of Ni (fcc) in the Ni plating region measured in a cross section perpendicular to a rolled surface of the base steel sheet is 0.2 to 4.0 &#x3bc;m.

A surface-treated steel sheet of the present invention includes a base steel sheet and a Ni&#x2014;Co&#x2014;Fe alloy-plated layer on at least one surface of the base steel sheet, in which, in the alloy-plated layer, a Ni coating weight is 7.1 to 18.5 g/m, a Co coating weight is 0.65 to 3.6 g/m, and a total of the Ni coating weight and the Co coating weight is in a range of 9.0 to 20.0 g/m. In a surface layer of the alloy-plated layer, a Co concentration is in a range of 20 to 60 atom %, and a Fe concentration is in a range of 5 to 30 atom %. In the alloy-plated layer, a region having a thickness of 2 &#x3bc;m or more, in which a total of a Ni concentration and the Co concentration is 10 atom % or more and the Fe concentration is 5 atom % or more, is present. The base steel sheet has a predetermined chemical composition, and a ferrite grain size number is 10 or more.

A surface-treated steel sheet according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a steel sheet as a base metal and a coating layer, in which the coating layer includes a Ni&#x2014;Co alloy coating layer, a Ni&#x2014;Fe alloy layer, and a Ni layer, in the coating layer, a total adhesion amount of Co is 0.2 g/mto 2.3 g/m, and a total adhesion amount of Ni is 8.9 g/mor more, the Ni layer has a thickness of 0.3 &#x3bc;m to 3.0 &#x3bc;m, an atomic concentration of Co on a surface of the Ni&#x2014;Co alloy coating layer is 20 at % to 70 at %, and a Co concentration gradient y in the coating layer in a depth direction is 50 mass %/&#x3bc;m to 400 mass %/&#x3bc;m.

Plated steel

Provided is a surface treated steel sheet for a fuel tank, the surface treated steel sheet including: a Zn plated layer or a Zn&#x2014;Ni alloy plated layer which is formed on at least a surface of the steel sheet to be an inner surface of the fuel tank; and a chromate-free chemical conversion coating layer containing a water-and-oil repellent, the chromate-free chemical conversion coating layer being placed over the Zn plated layer or the Zn&#x2014;Ni alloy plated layer on the surface to be the inner surface of the fuel tank. A water contact angle on a surface of the chromate-free chemical conversion coating layer is more than or equal to 70 degrees and an n-hexadecane contact angle on the surface of the chromate-free chemical conversion coating layer is more than or equal to 30 degrees and less than or equal to 70 degrees.

Surface treated steel sheet for fuel tank

A steel sheet for a fuel tank according to the present invention includes: a Zn&#x2014;Ni alloy plated layer placed on one surface or each of both surfaces of a base metal; and a chromate-free chemical conversion coating film which is placed over the Zn&#x2014;Ni alloy plated layer. The Zn&#x2014;Ni alloy plated layer has a crack starting from an interface with the chromate-free chemical conversion coating film and reaching an interface with the steel sheet, the chromate-free chemical conversion coating film consists of an organosilicon compound consisting of a condensation polymer of a silane coupling agent, a phosphoric acid compound and/or a phosphonic acid compound, a vanadium compound, and a titanium compound and/or a zirconium compound, and a concentration of a total of amounts in terms of metal, per surface, of the phosphoric acid compound and/or the phosphonic acid compound+the vanadium compound+the titanium compound and/or the zirconium compound, is 5 mass % to 20 mass %.
