A single-headed piston type swash plate compressor able to prevent wear of a coating when using a swash plate having a coating on a swash plate substrate to improve the slidability and in turn able to exhibit greater durability, wherein the swash plate is comprised of a swash plate substrate made of a ferrous material and a coating formed on at least one compression chamber side for improving the slidability with the ferrous material and wherein at least one shoe is comprised of a shoe substrate made of an aluminum-based material having a specific gravity smaller than that of the ferrous metal and coatings formed on the surfaces of the shoe substrate for improving the slidability.

Single-headed piston type swash plate compressor

A fluid machine, in which the step of mounting a filter on a flow passageway can be easily automated and the latitude of filter arrangement is improved. A mounting recess is formed on the inner bottom surface of a rear housing. An inlet to a gas feed passageway opens to the bottom of the mounting recess. A control valve for adjusting the displacement of the compressor is arranged on the way of the gas feed passageway. A filter including a support ring and a filter member made of a woven wire in a shape of a cylinder with one end covered is fixedly secured in the mounting recess by press fitting. The head of the filter member is formed to project beyond the inner bottom surface when the filter is mounted in the mounting recess.

A variable capacity type compressor includes a swash plate and pistons to effect compressing action. The tilting position of the swash plate is controlled by the pressure in a control pressure chamber into which a coolant in the discharge pressure region is introduced. The pressure in the control pressure chamber is controlled by a capacity control valve mounted to the rear housing in an inclined position relative to a plane perpendicular to the axis of the rotatable drive shaft.

Fitting structure for controlling valve in variable capacity compressor

A variable displacement compressor that varies the gas displacement by controlling the pressure in a crank chamber including a drive shaft, pistons for compressing the gas, and a swash plate. The swash plate is located in the crank chamber and integrally rotates with the drive shaft, and varies the stroke of the pistons. The inclination of the swash plate relative to the drive shaft is varied between maximum and minimum positions. A displacement restoration spring inclines the swash plate. One end of the restoration spring fixed to a predetermined part of the drive shaft.

A reciprocating piston type compressor for compressing refrigerant gas for an automobile air conditioning system is improved to protect itself without protective control by a computer. The compressor detects the temperature of a part of the compressor in which the temperature increases to higher than a predetermined critical temperature when the compressor malfunctions, and changes a displacement control valve to reduce the displacement of the compressor when the detected temperature is higher than the predetermined critical temperature.

In a variable displacement compressor of the invention, cylinder bores (111) and a crankcase (121) are formed in a housing, single-ended pistons (37) are fitted in the cylinder bores (111), and a cam plate (23) is provided in the crankcase (121). The displacement capacity of the compressor is varied by controlling the angle of inclination of the cam plate (23) in accordance with the difference between the internal pressure of the crankcase (121) and an suction pressure present on both sides of each single-ended piston (37). A dampening or muffler chamber (65) is provided downstream of an output channel (114) through which a refrigerant gas discharged from the cylinder bores (111) passes. A check valve (69) which opens and closes in accordance with a pressure difference between upstream and downstream sides of the output channel (114) is provided in the output channel (114), upstream of the muffler chamber (65). The present invention reduces the effects of pressure pulsations caused by the compression motion of the compressor and caused by the valve body of the open/close device hunting, has no bad effects on the external refrigerant circuit connected to the compressor, and increases the reliability of the lip seal.

A displacement control valve included in a variable displacement compressor. The compressor includes a fluid passage for connecting a crank chamber to a discharge chamber. The control valve includes a valve chamber connected to the crank chamber through the fluid passage, a valve hole connected to the discharge chamber through the fluid passage, and a valve body located in the valve chamber. A bellows influences the valve body through a pressure sensitive rod in accordance with suction pressure. A solenoid includes a fixed iron core and a plunger arranged in a plunger chamber. The plunger urges the valve body through a solenoid rod by a force determined by the level of electric current supplied to the solenoid. The fixed iron core, which is located between the valve chamber and the plunger chamber, includes a guide hole for receiving the solenoid rod. An annular passage for connecting the valve chamber to the plunger chamber is formed between the guide hole and the solenoid rod. Accordingly, the pressure of the crank chamber is applied to the plunger chamber through the valve chamber and the annular passage. In this control valve, the valve body has desirable operating characteristics without relying on parts having precise dimensions.

Control valve

A scroll type compressor comprises a fixed scroll having an end plate and a spiral element. The spiral element of the fixed scroll is integrally coupled to the inner wall of a housing. A movable scroll has an end plate and a spiral element, and faces the fixed scroll, with a plurality of fluid pockets formed between the movable scroll and the fixed scroll. When the movable scroll makes an orbital movement around the axis of the rotary shaft, refrigerant gas is led into the fluid pockets from outside the movable scroll. As the fluid pockets move toward the center of the movable scroll the fluid pockets decrease in volume, thereby compressing the refrigerant gas. A suction chamber which receives the refrigerant gas from outside the housing is formed between the movable scroll and the inner wall of the housing. A passage is formed in at least one of the inner wall of the housing, the connecting section and the end plate of the movable scroll. This passage permits the refrigerant gas to flow into the fluid pockets from the suction chamber in order to reduce any difference in pressure of the refrigerant gas in the suction chamber and in the fluid pocket.

The inner layer is made of a material capable of adhering to the aluminum alloy. An outer layer coats the inner layer and contacts the fixed member. The outer layer has greater hardness than the hardness of the inner coating layer.

Coating structure for a movable member in a compressor

A mechanism for allowing the orbital movement of an orbiting scroll with respect to a fixed scroll in a scroll type compressor which prevents the orbiting scroll from rotating around its own axis is disclosed. The orbiting scroll is eccentrically attached to a rotary shaft supported by a housing that encases the fixed and orbiting scrolls. A compression chamber is defined by the interfitting between the orbiting scroll and the fixed scroll. During the course of the orbiting scroll's rotation around the center axis line of a rotary shaft, the volume of a compression chamber decreases as the rotation progresses. Refrigerant gas in the compression chamber is compressed in this manner as the constant volume of gas within the compression chamber decreases in size according to the progression of the rotating spiral member. A balancing weight disposed on the eccentric shaft compensates for dynamic unbalancing generated as the orbiting scroll makes an orbital movement due to the rotation of the rotary shaft. This balancing weight engages a bushing which supports the orbiting scroll. A mechanism for automatically adjusting the radius of the orbital movement is disposed between the rotary shaft and the balancing weight. A spring for restricting the shifting on the eccentric shaft of both the weight and the bushing in the thrust direction is disposed between the weight and the bushing.

A scroll type refrigerant compressor having a stationary scroll unit, a movable scroll unit including an orbiting spiral member engaged with the stationary scroll unit to define variable-volume compression chambers in which the refrigerant gas is compressed in response to a rotation of a drive shaft having an eccentrically arranged drive key member, and a drive bushing member having an aperture formed therein in which the drive key of the drive shaft is inserted so as to cause an eccentric motion of the drive bushing member operatively engaged with the movable spiral member to thereby drive an orbiting motion of the movable spiral member. The drive key member is formed as an axial columnar mechanical member having a central axis thereof parallel with the axis of rotation of the drive shaft and a diametrical axis thereof intercrossing the central axis at a predetermined point, the diametrical axis of the drive key member being arranged so as to be angularly shifted by a predetermined angle in a direction reverse to the rotating direction of the drive shaft with regard to a predetermined axis passing through the axis of rotation of the drive shaft, the predetermined point of the drive key member being arranged in an area extending in a direction reverse to the rotating direction of the drive shaft with regard to a line connecting the axis of rotation of said drive shaft and the central axis of said drive bushing member, the drive key member further having planar faces disposed on both sides of the diametrical axis thereof, and two spaced ends, each of the two spaced ends being distant from the central axis of the drive shaft.

The scroll type compressor includes a stationary and orbiting scroll members, of which the spiral elements are interfit at an offset angle to form line contacts defining at least one fluid pocket, and an anti-spin mechanism for causing the orbiting member to orbit within the stationary member. A drive shaft is rotatably supported in a housing, and has an outer end a cylindrical inner end and, depending upon the embodiment, either a crank pin or a sliding guide portion projecting axially inward from its inner end. A scroll type compressor comprising mutually mating stationary and movable scroll members, a drive shaft, a counterweight, a slide key extending from the drive shaft, and a drive bush slidably fit on the slide key. The counterweight is immovably fit on the drive shaft. The slide key has a first axis offset from the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft for causing the movable scroll member to revolve around the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft, and a second axis perpendicular to the first axis.
