A biochemical analysis apparatus includes a piercer for piercing a cover member, a nozzle that passes through the piercer which has pierced the cover member and suctions a specimen, a liquid surface sensor that detects contact of the nozzle with the specimen, and a controller that drives the nozzle and the piercer, in which the controller provides an error notification upon detection of contact of the nozzle with the accommodation object inside the piercer, and upon detection of a collision of the nozzle with the cover member.

Biochemical analysis apparatus and biochemical analysis method

A controller detects an error based on a most recent height of a nozzle at detection of contact of a nozzle with a sample by a liquid surface sensor and a previous height of the nozzle at detection of contact of the nozzle with the sample by the liquid surface sensor, and upon detection of the error, provides an error notification in a manner different from that at detection of another error.

The automatic analysis system comprises an analysis device which introduces sample containers which have been placed at a predetermined placement location into an analysis unit to perform analysis on the samples, and a management device which has a function of transmitting identification information for a sample to said analysis device when an analysis request has been made for that sample. The analysis device comprises a sample information management unit which retains sample identification information transmitted from the management device as analysis-requested sample information and retains identification information for samples which have been analyzed by the analysis unit as analysis-completed sample information.

Automatic analysis system

A liquid collection device is configured to determine a difference between a liquid level after suction operation determined by calculation based on the liquid level detected at the time of previous probe lowering operation and a liquid level that is actually detected at the time of current probe lowering operation, to detect presence of foam if the difference is greater than a first threshold set as a maximum value of an allowable error set in advance in the device and is equal to or smaller than a second threshold that is set greater than the first threshold, and moreover, to display a warning to an operator when presence of foam is detected.

Liquid collection device and automated analyzer provided therewith

Methods and apparatuses for dispensing samples or reagents onto a target object are provided. A dispensing position designating section () designates the dispensing position on the target object (), such as a membrane, based on an image of the target object () displayed on a monitoring section (). A dispensing control section () positions the target object and the dispensing device relative to each other so that the designated dispensing position on the target object is placed beneath the dispensing device () and controls the dispensing operation of the dispensing device (). A dispensing position information creating section () creates dispensing position information about the dispensing position on the target object () which is designated by the dispensing position designating section () and to which the dispensing operation has been performed and outputs it to the outside.
