A body structure for a vehicle includes an A-pillar and a side sill, wherein the A-pillar includes a vertical front pillar; a front roof pillar extending from an upper end of the vertical front pillar toward an upper rear side thereof; a first reinforcing plate provided in the vertical front pillar and extending in the same direction with the vertical front pillar; and a second reinforcing plate provided in the front roof pillar extending in the same direction with the front roof pillar. The side sill is connected to a lower end of the vertical front pillar and extending along a horizontal direction. The first reinforcing plate is formed to cover a front door hinge mounting portion in the A-pillar and a connection portion of the vertical front pillar and the side sill. An uncoupled portion is formed between the second reinforcing plate and the first reinforcing plate.

Body structure for vehicle

A B-pillar for a vehicle includes an inner plate and an outer plate disposed to be opposite to each other; and a first reinforcing plate, wherein the inner plate and the outer plate forms a cavity, the cavity being surrounded by the inner plate and the outer plate to extend in a vertical direction and have a closed cross section, the first reinforcing plate is disposed in an upper region of the cavity, the first reinforcing plate includes a first reinforcing segment and a second reinforcing segment to be connected with each other, a front edge and a rear edge of the first reinforcing segment are connected to an inner wall surface of the cavity, and a front edge or a rear edge of the second reinforcing segment is apart away from the inner wall surface of the cavity with an interval therebetween to form a notch portion.

B-pillar for vehicle

Vehicle body front structure

A vehicle body front part structure includes: a pair of left and right front side frames extending in the vehicle front-rear direction; and a front bulkhead connected to front ends of the front side frames. The front bulkhead includes: a pair of upper and lower lateral members extending in the left-right direction; and a pair of left and right vertical members extending in the up-down direction so as to connect ends on the outer sides in the vehicle width direction of the lateral members to each other. A forward extension part extending toward the front of the vehicle is provided at a lower end of the vertical member. A first load transmission member located on a more outer side in the vehicle width direction than the front side frame is fixed to the forward extension part.

Vehicle body front part structure

Provided is a vehicle body front part structure including: a pair of left and right front side frames extending in a vehicle front-rear direction; and a front bulkhead connected to front end portions of the front side frames, wherein the front bulkhead includes a pair of upper and lower lateral frame parts extending in a left-right direction, and a pair of left and right vertical frame parts extending in an upper-lower direction to connect vehicle-width-direction outer end portions of the lateral frame parts.

A vehicle body structure having an increased capability to absorb impact in a front end of a tunnel member. The vehicle body structure includes a dash lower panel, a dash cross member and the tunnel member. The dash cross member has a convex shape with a central portion located forward of both ends in the vehicle width direction in plan view. The tunnel member has a tunnel closed cross-sectional portion constituting a part of the central portion of the dash cross member, a front fragile portion provided forward of the tunnel closed cross-sectional portion, and a rear tunnel member provided rearward of the tunnel closed cross-sectional portion. The front fragile portion has a lower compressive strength than that of the rear tunnel member, against a load from the front.

Vehicle body structure

A pair of left and right upper members are provided to extend substantially along a vehicle longitudinal direction on both sides of the left and right front side frames in a vehicle width direction and to have their rear ends joined to front pillars disposed at lateral ends of a cabin. Each of the upper members has a substantially rectangular shape in cross section constituted by left and right walls and upper and lower walls. A weak portion, such as a recess, is provided in at least one corner portion having no flange among corner portions formed between adjacent walls of the upper members.

Vehicle front body structure

A structure for a front portion of a vehicle is provided with a windshield lower member. The windshield lower member includes a windshield lower member main body, and an extended portion formed so as to extend frontward from a front end portion of the windshield lower member main body. The extended portion includes a base portion formed so as to continue from a front end portion of the windshield lower member main body, a weight portion extending in an obliquely front-upward direction from a front end portion of the base portion, and a weak portion that extends in a vehicle width direction at a boundary between the base portion and the weight portion, and that has lower rigidity than the base portion.

Structure for front portion of vehicle

In a damper mounting structure provided at each lateral end of a vehicle body to support an upper end of a wheel suspension damper, a dash upper panel () and a cross member () jointly form a laterally extending member that supports upper ends of vehicle suspension dampers () at either lateral end thereof. The cross member () includes a main body welded to an upper surface of the dash upper panel () via a pair of lateral flanges () thereof extending along either side thereof, and a half bowl-shaped portion () formed on each end thereof and welded to a periphery of the corresponding damper mounting portion via a peripheral flange () formed along an outer periphery of the half bowl-shaped portion (). The peripheral flange () is provided with a pair of cutouts () that expose two of the threaded bolts (). The cross member is further provided with an opening () for exposing the third threaded bolt.
