A motor that ensures efficient supply of a lubricating oil to a mechanical seal and a bearing to reduce temperature rise in driving of a motor is provided. The motor includes a mechanical seal through which a rotary shaft of a rotor is inserted. The mechanical seal includes a seal ring and a mating ring. The seal ring has a sealing surface. The mating ring is secured to the rotary shaft. The mating ring has a sealing surface that contacts the sealing surface of the seal ring. The mating ring has a through hole on an outer edge side of the mating ring with respect to the sealing surface of the mating ring. The lubricating oil flows through the through hole to the bearing side.

Motor having a mechanical seal for holding lubricating oil supplied to a bearing

A flow rate control valve includes a housing having an accommodation chamber in communication with oil passages, and a spool accommodated in the accommodation chamber movably in a reciprocating manner. The housing includes a bolt for fastening a movable member of a variable valve timing mechanism, and a sleeve inserted in an insertion portion provided in the bolt and having the accommodation chamber. The bolt is provided with a port through which the oil passages communicate with the insertion portion. The sleeve is provided with a through hole penetrating the sleeve. Furthermore, an annular protrusion and a recess are provided as a phase adjustment portion that adjusts a phase of rotation of the sleeve with respect to the bolt to a phase in which the port coincides in position with the through hole and holds the phase of rotation of the sleeve with respect to the bolt equal thereto.

Flow rate control valve

To provide a variable valve operating apparatus for an internal combustion engine which can reduce a range where heat treatment is required, thereby favorably suppressing distortion which occurs in a camshaft during heat treatment, to a low level. A changeover mechanism is provided which includes a slide pin which is adapted to move within a predetermined reciprocating range thereby switching between operational states of a variable mechanism, and a guide rail provided in an outer peripheral surface of the camshaft and guides the movement of the slide pin from one end to a remaining end of the reciprocating range. A projection part which is engageable with the guide rail is provided in the slide pin. Restriction means which performs at least one of a restriction of contact between a top surface of the projection part and a bottom surface of the guide rail opposing the projection part, and a restriction of movement of the slide pin beyond a distance from the above-described one end to the above-described remaining end.

Variable valve operating apparatus for internal combustion engine

A rotation/linear motion conversion mechanism provided with an annular shaft, a sun shaft arranged inside the annular shaft, planetary shafts arranged around the sun shaft, and a first gear mechanism and a second gear mechanism, which transmit force between the annular shaft and the planetary shafts. Each planetary shaft includes a first planetary gear, which configures part of the first gear mechanism, and a second gear, which configures part of the second gear mechanism. The planetary shaft is configured to permit relative rotation between the first planetary gear and the second planetary gear.

Mechanism for converting rotational motion into linear motion

A method for fabricating a rotational-to-linear motion conversion mechanism which can avoid a planetary shaft from being tilted with respect to a sun shaft when the conversion mechanism is assembled. The method includes fabricating a subassembly with the planetary shaft being held in parallel to the sun shaft. The subassembly includes the sun shaft having a first and second sun gear at its opposing ends and a male thread at its center, the planetary shaft having a first planetary gear at its one end and a male thread at its center, a ring shaft having a female thread, and a first and second ring gear. The method also includes mating the second planetary gear with the second sun gear and the second ring gear while the second planetary gear is being fitted over the outer circumferential surface of the other end of the planetary shaft in the subassembly.

Method of producing mechanism for converting rotational motion into linear motion

A hydraulic braking pressure control unit including three or more hydraulic pressure control components, and a holder structure which holds those hydraulic pressure control components, wherein the three or more hydraulic pressure control components are selected from electromagnetically operated hydraulic pressure control valves capable of controlling a pressure of a working fluid in a brake cylinder in a braking system, and pressure detecting devices, to detect respective pressures of the fluid used to control the electromagnetically operated hydraulic pressure control valves. The three or more hydraulic pressure control components include three hydraulic pressure control components which are attached to the holder structure such that one of the three hydraulic pressure control components is spaced from the other two hydraulic pressure control components by substantially the same distance.

Hydraulic braking pressure control unit

An internal combustion engine is provided with a plurality of valves, including a main driving valve and a driven valve, each of which can be lifted in response to an instruction from a control apparatus, and a lift sensor which detects a lift amount of the main driving valve. The control apparatus controls the lift of the driven and main driving valves based on an output of the lift sensor. The engine may also include a proximity sensor which detects whether the position of the driven valve is within a predetermined range, and a crank angle sensor. The control apparatus monitors the output of the proximity sensor to determine whether the driven valve is out of synchronization with respect to the crank angle, and performs an initial driving control that initializes the positions of the driven and main driving valves corresponding to the driven valve when loss of synchronization is detected.

Control apparatus for internal combustion engine

The electromagnet includes a valve-opening side coil portion supplied with a current to thereby generate a first magnetic flux and generate electromagnetic force in a direction moving the valve-opening side moving element toward a valve-opening position, and a valve-closing side coil portion supplied with a current to thereby generate a second magnetic flux and generate electromagnetic force in a direction moving the valve-closing side moving element toward the valve-closing position. The valve-opening side coil portion and the valve-closing side coil portion are constituted of an identical connection. The electromagnet further has a sub-coil constituted of a separate connection from the valve-opening side coil portion and the valve-closing side coil portion. By the current supply to the sub-coil, a third magnetic flux reducing at least one of the first magnetic flux and the second magnetic flux is generated.

Electromagnetically driven valve

An electromagnetically driven valve device is formed by attaching a lower core assy, an armature, an upper core assy, and an upper case in that order from bottom, to a cylinder head of an engine. Each of the lower core assy and the upper core assy is unitarily formed so as to have a predetermined shape by resin-molding a core and a coil that form an electromagnet as well as an armature bearing, etc. The lower core assy is fastened together with the upper core assy to the cylinder head, and is thus attached to the mounting surface.

A control unit controls an electromagnetically driven valve including a valve body, an electromagnetic drive portion and a spring so as to be opened and closed by an electromagnetic force of the electromagnetic drive portion and a spring force of the spring that is formed of a pair of gas pressure springs each urging the valve body towards a valve opening end position and a valve closing end position, respectively. The control unit includes a controller, when an operation of the valve body is stopped and held in a holding position that is one of the valve opening end position and the valve closing end position, decreases a gas pressure of one of the pair of gas pressure springs that urges the valve body towards a non-holding position opposite to the holding position so as to become lower than a gas pressure of the one of the pair of gas pressure springs that urges the valve body towards the non-holding position when the valve body is operated.

Vehicle hydraulic braking system including a hydraulic pressure source for pressurizing a fluid according to an operation of a brake operating member, so that the pressurized fluid is supplied to at least one wheel brake cylinder for braking at least wheel of the vehicle, a pressure control valve device for regulating the pressure of the fluid to be applied to each wheel brake cylinder, the valve device having a pressure-increasing, pressure-holding and pressure-reducing states, and a reservoir for storing the fluid which has been discharged from each wheel brake cylinder through the pressure control valve device during the operation of the brake operating member, so that the fluid is returned from the reservoir to the hydraulic pressure source after the operation of the brake operating member. The reservoir has a storage capacity smaller than a maximum total amount of the fluid that can be accommodated in all of the at least one wheel brake cylinder during operation of the at least one wheel brake cylinder.

Vehicle hydraulic braking system having reservoir for storing fluid

In a brake fluid control device, front wheel cylinders are connected to a front hydraulic circuit, and rear wheel cylinders are connected to a rear hydraulic circuit. The front hydraulic circuit and the rear hydraulic circuit are connected to a front left pressure-decrease valve, a front right pressure-decrease valve, a rear left pressure-decrease valve, a rear right pressure-decrease valve and a connecting pipe. When a brake pedal is depressed, the front left pressure-decrease valve, the front right pressure-decrease valve, the rear left pressure-decrease valve and the rear right pressure-decrease valve are opened and a master cylinder pressure sensor leads to both the front hydraulic circuit and the rear hydraulic circuit. Comparing a detection value of the of the master cylinder pressure sensor, a detection value of a front wheel cylinder pressure sensor and a detection value of a rear wheel cylinder pressure sensor respectively, detects the state of operation of each of the sensors provided in the system.

Brake fluid pressure control device

A brake fluid pressure control apparatus achieves a sufficiently large brake force even when a malfunction occurs in an operational force sensor for detecting a level of operational force applied to a brake system. A magnitude of a master cylinder pressure generated by a master cylinder is detected by a master cylinder pressure sensor. A linear fluid pressure source generates a linear fluid pressure adjusted by the magnitude of the master cylinder pressure. Front wheel cylinders and rear wheel cylinders are provided with the linear fluid pressure. A front wheel cylinder pressure is detected and a front wheel cylinder pressure value corresponding to a magnitude of the front wheel cylinder pressure is output by a front wheel cylinder sensor. If it is determined that a malfunction is occurring in the operational force sensor, a connection of the front wheel cylinders is switched from the linear fluid pressure source to the master cylinder. At this time, the linear fluid pressure source is controlled based on the front wheel cylinder pressure value.
