The present disclosure relates to a laundry treatment machine and a method for controlling the same. A pump motor may operate according to the steps of starting up the pump motor when operating or stopping the pump motor. Upon restarting, the pump motor may be controlled to start up after being on standby until the rotor stops, and therefore the pump may run normally even in case in which the pump repeatedly stops and runs, and the drainage performance may be improved and wash water may be drained by the operation of the pump regardless of the lift level.

The present disclosure relates to a drain pump driving apparatus and a laundry treatment machine including the same. A drain pump driving apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a controller configured to drive a motor, during drainage, based on an output current and a direct current (DC) terminal voltage with a first power when a lift is at a first level and to drive the motor with the first power when the lift is at a second level that is greater than the first level, wherein the lift is a difference between a water level of a water introduction part through which water flows into a drain pump and a water level of a water discharge part through which the water is discharged out of the drain pump. Accordingly, water pumping can be performed smoothly even if the lift is changed during the drainage.

Drain pump driving apparatus and laundry treatment machine including the same

The present disclosure relates to a laundry treatment machine. A pump motor provided in a drain pump is controlled to correspond to the operation of the main motor and the water level, so that the pump motor slows down based on the speed of rotation of the main motor and the water level and keeps operating at low speed. Therefore, the pump motor is able to keep operating without stopping operation, and the amount of noise caused by the start-up of the motor is reduced, and the time taken to align the rotor of the motor in position is reduced, thereby reducing drainage time and improving the drainage performance of the drain pump.

A drain pump driving apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure and a laundry treatment machine including the same include: an inverter converting a direct current (DC) voltage from a converter into an alternating current (AC) voltage based on a switching operation and to output the converted AC voltage to a drain motor; and a controller to control the motor to, when a drain channel in a drain pump is clogged, be temporarily stopped in a period during which a speed of the motor increases and then to repeatedly rotate and stop in a first direction the same as a start-up direction, and to repeatedly rotate and stop in a second direction opposite to the first direction when the drain channel is clogged even after the motor repeatedly rotates and stops in the first direction. Accordingly, when impurities are introduced into the drain pump, the impurities can be removed in a simple manner.

The present disclosure relates to a laundry treatment machine. The laundry treatment machine according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a controller configured to start dewatering after a first period from completion of drainage when a lift is at a first level, and to start the dewatering after a second period from the completion of the drainage when the lift is at a second level greater than the first level, wherein the second period is longer than the first period. Accordingly, based on the lift, it is possible to change the dewatering entry period after drainage is completed.

The present disclosure relates to a laundry treatment machine. The laundry treatment machine according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a controller configured to increase or decrease stepwise a speed of a motor during dewatering. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce a speed ripple during dewatering.

The present disclosure relates to a laundry treatment machine and a method for controlling the same. An increased amount of wash water during dewatering is introduced into a pump by decreasing the speed of a pump motor provided in the pump and increasing it again based on changes in the speed of the main motor during dewatering, and the wash water introduced while the speed of the pump motor is increasing is drained. The present disclosure relates to a laundry treatment machine. The present invention provides a laundry treating apparatus including a drain pump having a motor, an inverter unit to transfer power to the motor, and a control unit to control the inverter unit to operate the drain pump, wherein the control unit sets an operation mode of the drain pump based on a current flowing in a part of the inverter unit, and controls the inverter unit based on the set operation mode.
