A display panel and an electroluminescent display using the same are disclosed. The display panel includes a first data line charged with a first data signal, a second data line charged with a second data signal, a first subpixel connected to the first data line, a second subpixel connected to the second data line, a gate line commonly connected to the first and second subpixels and simultaneously supplying a gate signal to the first and second subpixels, a demultiplexer connecting an output terminal of a data driver to the first data line using MUX switch elements and then connecting the output terminal to the second data line using the MUX switch elements, and a switch array supplying a reference voltage to the second data line when the output terminal is connected to the first data line by the demultiplexer using REF switch elements.

Display panel and electroluminescent display using the same

The disclosure relates to data driver and organic light emitting display device. The data driver includes: an input unit configured to receive an input data; a compensation data generator configured to generate a compensation data by applying a compensation value to the input data; a converter unit configured to convert the input data into an image data voltage and to convert the compensation data into a compensation data voltage; and an output unit configured to separately output the image data voltage and the compensation data voltage to a data line of the organic light emitting display.

A touch sensor integrated type display device includes: a display panel including first and second panel blocks (PBs), each including a pixel array with embedded touch sensors, a display driving circuit providing image data to pixels of the first and second PBs during a display period, and a touch sensing circuit driving the touch sensors of the first and second PBs during a touch sensing period, the display driving circuit including a shift register sequentially providing gate pulses (GPs) to gate lines, the shift register including: a first stage group (SG) applying a GP to gate lines in the first PB, a bridge stage connected in cascade to a last stage of the first SG, and providing a first carry signal, and a second SG applying a GP to gate lines in the second PB, a first stage of the second SG operating in response to the first carry signal.

Touch sensor integrated type display device and method of operating the same

A display device includes a display panel having a pixel array and built-in touch sensors, with a shared common electrode, driven between display and touch sensing periods; a display drive circuit outputting image data to the display panel during the display period; a common voltage regulator outputting common voltage data to indicate a common voltage to be applied to the common electrode during the touch sensing period; and a touch sensing circuit decoding the common voltage data during the touch sensing period to vary the common voltage and applying the varied common voltage to the common electrode. The common voltage regulator determines an average value of image data for each line of the pixel array and outputs a first common voltage data to decrease the voltage level of the common voltage when the average value is at or above a preset threshold and corresponds to positive image data.
