The embodiments herein provide a system and a method for enhancing audience reach and brand promotion in social media marketing by including social media messages like Twitter&#xae; messages into television channels. The method effectively promotes brands, sale offers, discount deals, and social contests to the people who are beyond internet's reach. The system automatically collects Twitter&#xae; messages posted by the users and telecasts the messages on selected TV channels as banners while viewers watch programs on TV. The system generates positive brand awareness among people by telecasting the tweets having the most positive reviews about a particular brand or event. The system detects and telecasts the most relevant tweets of a particular event or a brand using hashtags created in the tweets for brands or event names.

A method of multimedia content discovery and navigation based on criteria for recommendation includes displaying a multimedia content based on a criteria for recommending the multimedia content, displaying the criteria for recommending the multimedia content along with the multimedia content, processing a first input that includes a selection of the multimedia content, and playing the multimedia content on the selection of the multimedia content. The multimedia content display module may display a second set of multimedia content associated with the second criteria on the selection of the second criteria. The first criteria may include at least one of (i) reasons based on popularity, (ii) reasons based on user favorites, and (iii) reasons based on friends' activities.

Efficient multimedia content discovery and navigation based on reason for recommendation

The embodiments herein provide a system and method for monitoring and detecting Television (TV) ads in real-time using content databases. The method comprises an ingest process and a lookup process. An audio stream of an ad is chopped into predetermined timeframe samples. The chopped samples are stored in an ingest database. A TV broadcast stream of predefined length is chopped into samples which are compared with the ingest database. When the threshold value of a candidate is more than an average value, the candidate is shortlisted for further filtrations. Then the TV broadcast stream is compared with contents of an additional database. The additional database stores the whole length of an ingested ad without any chopping. A shifted search is performed on short listed candidates to detect the version of the ad played in the TV channel.

System and method for monitoring and detecting television ads in real-time using content databases (ADEX reporter)

The embodiments herein provide a system and method for measuring active participation of audience watching a TV programs and advertisements, in terms of age and gender. The system comprises a monitoring device which is configured to record TV audio, room audio and TV visual outputs, using an image sensor. The monitoring device is further configured to detect the audience engagement level, in watching the TV show, by monitoring the audience expressions and behavior. The audience engagement level is also detected by tracking the eye ball movement of the audience. The monitoring device is configured to continuously check and detect visitors who have joined along with already registered viewers to watch the TV programs. The monitored information is analyzed and visitor/viewer profile is created accordingly.

System and method for automatic content recognition and audience measurement for television channels and advertisements

A method of recommending and prioritizing multimedia content targeted to a user is provided. The method includes (i) obtaining a first set that includes one or more multimedia content based on a first set of parameters, (ii) obtaining a second set that includes one or more multimedia content based on a second set of parameters, (iii) computing (a) one or more priority indicators of the one or more multimedia content of the first set, and (b) one or more priority indicators of the one or more multimedia content of the second set, and (iv) prioritizing a subset of multimedia content targeted to the user based on at least one of (a) the one or more priority indicators of the one or more multimedia content of the first set, and (b) the one or more priority indicators of the one or more multimedia content of the second set.

System and method for recommending online multimedia content

A method for recommending premium on-demand multimedia content based on event information is provided. The method includes (i) obtaining the event information associated with a time period, (ii) mapping the event information with structured metadata associated with a plurality of premium on-demand multimedia content, (iii) generating a recommendation for at least one matching premium on-demand multimedia content based on the event information and a structured metadata associated with the at least one matching premium on-demand multimedia content. The time period includes a current time during which an event is trending. A metadata associated with at least one premium multimedia content corresponds to the event information.
