A fitting for a vehicle seat may have a first ring gear having first ring gear teeth, a second ring gear having second ring gear teeth, and a planet gear mounted on a planet carrier and which meshes with the first and second ring gear teeth. A blocking planet gear, which can be rotated about a blocking-planet-gear axis of rotation, permanently meshes with the first ring gear teeth and with the second ring gear teeth, and the distance between the blocking-planet-gear axis of rotation and the axis can be changed so that the blocking planet gear can be transferred selectively between locking meshing and non-locking meshing with the first ring gear teeth and/or with the second ring gear teeth. A vehicle seat having a seat part, a backrest and a fitting of this type for setting an angle of inclination of the backrest is provided.

Fitting for a vehicle seat

A recliner assembly for a vehicular seat of the type including a backrest hingedly connected to a seat base and capable of being reclined. The recliner assembly includes an outer gear and includes an internal teeth arranged circumferentially about an axis A. The assembly also includes an inner gear including at least one tooth engaging member selectively moveable into and out of engagement with the internal teeth of the outer gear. A retainer is attached to the outer gear in order to retain the inner gear from lateral movement along axis A. The retainer is configured for mounting to the outer gear and the inner gear is configured for mounting to at least one of a top plate and a base plate. The retainer, outer gear, and inner gears can be formed from a fine-blanked steel material and simply welded together to improve recliner strength while reducing assembly costs.

Rotary recliner

An adjusting device for a vehicle component includes a first fitting part arranged on an axis of rotation and a second fitting part arranged on the axis of rotation. The relative position of the first fitting part and the second fitting part with respect to each other is adjustable. The adjusting device also includes an eccentric arranged on and rotatable about the axis of rotation and a plurality of first rotating members arranged concentrically about the eccentric. The first rotating members are configured to roll along the first fitting part. The adjusting device further includes a plurality of subcomponents that each include a first fitting-part element of the first fitting part and a second fitting-part element of the second fitting part. The plurality of subcomponents are arranged substantially symmetrically with respect to a plane of symmetry that extends at right angles to the axis of rotation.

Recliner mechanism

A locking and releasing mechanism for a seat having a first fitting part associated with one of a seat part and a backrest and a second fitting part associated with the other one of the seat part and the backrest that may be locked and released relative to one another by the mechanism is disclosed. The mechanism includes a detent pawl configured to selectively latch the first fitting part to lock a displacement of the first and second fitting parts relative to one another and a detent plate configured to be reversibly displaced between a detent position, wherein the detent plate locks the detent pawl so that the detent pawl remains latched with the first fitting part, and a release position, wherein the detent plate allows the detent pawl to be released from the first fitting part.

Locking and releasing mechanism for vehicle seat

A component for a vehicle seat includes a plurality of plate-like elements generally parallel to one another, with pairs of the elements being connected, such as by welding. At least one element of each pair has a bend that creates a gap spacing with respect to the other element of the pair. Each element is connected to a next element to form a further pair in the region of the spacing.

A locking and releasing mechanism for a seat having a first fitting part associated with one of a seat part and a backrest and a second fitting part associated with the other one of the seat part and the backrest that may be locked and released relative to one another by the mechanism is disclosed. The mechanism includes a detent pawl configured to selectively latch the first fitting part to lock a displacement of the first fitting part and the second fitting part relative to one another and a detent plate configured to be reversibly displaced between a detent position, wherein the detent plate locks the detent pawl so that the detent pawl remains latched with the first fitting part, and a release position, wherein the detent plate allows the detent pawl to be released from the first fitting part. The mechanism also includes driver configured to selectively move the detent plate between the detent position and the release position. The driver includes a securing segment for securing the detent plate against self opening.

A device for locking and/or unlocking a component (e.g., in or on a vehicle, etc.) in relation to a mating element is provided. The device comprises a locking element and a blocking element. The locking element is configured to be set into a locking position and into an unlocking position. The blocking element is configured to be set into a blocking position and into an actuating position. The setting of the blocking position brings about the setting of the locking position and the setting of the actuating position favors the adoption of the unlocking position.
