In a method and magnetic resonance apparatus to support planning of a magnetic resonance examination on a patient with the magnetic resonance apparatus, a planning image is displayed and at least one graphic protocol object is superimposed thereon for a user. Information is thereby shown to the user as to whether at least one graphic protocol object is displayed outside the section of the planning image.

A method is provided to prevent a permissible specific absorption rate being exceeded during a magnetic resonance examination and to an evaluation unit. The method includes a first provisioning unit providing a permissible SAR to an evaluation unit. A second provisioning unit, which may be identical to the first provisioning unit, provides a scan protocol for the magnetic resonance examination to the evaluation unit. The evaluation unit checks the scan protocol for the permissible SAR. If this check reveals that the permissible SAR is not adhered to, the scan protocol is modified. In this case, the modification of the scan protocol entails the amendment of at least one scan parameter of the scan protocol. The amendment of the at least one scan parameter is performed in dependence on at least one preference parameter.

Specific absorption rate adjustment of scan parameters

In a method and magnetic resonance (MR) apparatus for setting acquisition parameters of a scan protocol, in an operator control console, for a planned MR acquisition procedure of slice groups rotated with respect to one another through an angle relative to an axis of rotation, each containing at least one slice, a graphical representation of the slice groups is used for operator specification of the angle and/or the number of slice groups. After a graphical selection of a starting slice group by a user and selection of a radial slice group operating mode when a first operator action of the user is performed via an input device, the slice group number is increased while the angle is reduced. When a second operator action is performed via the input device, the slice group number is reduced while the angle is increased. The graphical representation is simultaneously updated in each case.

Method and magnetic resonance apparatus for setting acquisition parameters of a scan protocol

A method, a computer program product and a computer-readable storage medium are disclosed for displaying signal values of a combined magnetic resonance positron emission tomography device. In at least one embodiment, the spatial correspondence of signal values, which result from a magnetic resonance measurement, and of signal values, which result from a positron emission tomography measurement, are used and the corresponding signal values are arranged in matrix form and displayed graphically as a multi-dimensional scatter plot.
