A clot retrieval cleaning instrument can have bristles, fluid sprays, or other techniques to liberate captured clot material from a clot retrieval device so that it can be reinserted into a patient's vasculature for successive capture attempts. The cleaning instrument can be conveniently integrated or connected to a hemo stasis valve assembly so that the cleaning function can be performed without completely removing the clot retrieval device from the delivery system. Aspiration can be applied to remove the freed thrombus material. The cleaning instrument can be removable from the delivery system to facilitate the instrument's washing or disposal.

The disclosed technology includes a detachment system for delivering an implantable medical device to a target location of a body vessel including a proximal delivery tube, a distal delivery tube, and a braid segment disposed between. The distal tube includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a compressible portion of the tube itself, between the proximal and distal ends which is axially movable from a compressed to an elongated condition. The proximal tube has a proximal end and a distal end. The braid segment is formed from a plurality of wires. An engagement system engages and deploys the implantable medical device engaged at the distal end of the distal tube.

The helical balloon assist device includes a tubular balloon formed at least partially into an independent helical shape in an uninflated state and an inflation tube in sealed communication with the balloon and extending from the helical balloon assist device in a proximal direction. A device for capturing an obstruction in a vasculature can include an expandable braid, an invertible braid, and elongated members such as tubes or wires that can be moved to cause the expandable braid to expand and the invertible braid to form a pocket facing toward the expandable braid to thereby capture the obstruction within the pocket. The expandable braid can form a cap at an open end of the pocket so that the pocket and cap define a cavity in which the obstruction can be confined. The device can also have an expandable framework between the expandable braid and the invertible braid that can engage the obstruction to further secure the obstruction between the expandable braid and invertible braid.

A single integrated intravascular device including a stentriever and semi-compliant balloon housed therein. After traversing a clot, the device is deployed to a self-expanded state engaging the clot therein, whereupon the device along with the embedded clot is removed. Detecting through imaging a stenosis at an original position of the captured clot, the device is reintroduced to that location and the stentriever is deployed to a self-expanded state. Inflating the semi-compliant balloon enlarges the stentriever to a hyper-expanded state greater than the self-expanded state thereby dilating the vessel while simultaneously completely detaching/releasing the stentriever from a remaining portion of the device. Then the semi-compliant balloon is collapsed and withdrawn along with the remaining portion of the device, while the detachable/releasable portion of the stentriever in the self-expanded state remains in the vessel.

The technology relates to determining an establishment's presence at a geolocation. A computing device may receive a first image including location data associated with the first image's capture. A set of images, which include location information and one or more identification marks associated with one or more establishments may also be received. The computing device may compare the first image to the set of images to determine whether the first image contains one of the one or more identification marks, and determine that one of the one or more establishments, associated with the one of the one or more identification marks contained in the first image, is currently located within a set proximity of the first image location. The computing device may also update a location database by associating the one of the one or more establishments with a location within a set proximity of the first image location.

Implant deployment systems can generally can include a braided implant that can be detachably attached to a delivery tube by an expansion ring that can be positioned within a notch on an outer surface of the delivery tube near a distal end of the delivery tube. The implant can be positioned within a lumen of the delivery tube and remain attached to the delivery tube as the assembly is fed through a microcatheter to a treatment site. Once the braided implant is implanted, the expansion ring can move from a collapsed configuration that is engaged with the notch of the delivery tube to a deployed configuration that releases the delivery tube, thereby releasing the braided implant from the delivery tube.

Systems and methods for delivering a catheter to a location of interest in the vasculature, the method including selectively positioning a guidewire at the location, positioning a self-expanding sheath within a lumen of the catheter, advancing the catheter and the self-expanding sheath in tandem over the guidewire, and distally moving a distal end of the self-expanding sheath out from an inner lumen of the catheter thereby causing the self-expanding sheath to move from a collapsed state within the catheter to an expanded state outside the catheter.

A device for capturing an obstruction in a vasculature can include a first elongated member, an expandable element, an invertible element, and a gap positioned between the expandable element and the invertible element sized to be placed across the obstruction. The expandable element and the invertible element can be positioned near the distal end of the first elongated member. The expandable element can expand from a collapsed delivery configuration to an expanded configuration. The invertible element can expand from a collapsed delivery configuration to an expanded configuration, and the invertible element can invert from the expanded configuration to an inverted configuration, thereby forming a pocket. The pocket can envelope at least a portion of the gap and can thereby capture an obstruction that is in the gap.

An embolic coil detachment system includes an elongated, flexible shape memory polymer tube having an inner wall surface defining an interior lumen. A distal portion of the shape memory polymer tube has an enlarged and reduced diameter configurations. An embolic coil is releasably mounted to the shape memory polymer tube by a headpiece releasably attached within a distal portion of the shape memory polymer tube. A resistive heating element disposed longitudinally along and in immediate contact with the inner wall surface of the distal tubular wall of the shape memory polymer tube provides direct, even heating to release the headpiece and embolic coil attached thereto when the resistive heating element is energized.

Systems and methods for presenting information in response to a user interaction with a geographic image at a point of query in a geographic information system are provided. A user can request information at point of query in the geographic image. Responsive to the user request, the geographic information system can search for and obtain information associated with the request. As part of the logic used to return information responsive to a request at a point of query, a zone of influence can be defined for one or more features depicted in the image. The zone of influence can be defined by a pixel threshold in a pixel space associated with the geographic image. The pixel threshold can be constant across a plurality of zoom levels of the geographic image.
