A mobile communication device includes an application program interface and a computer processor configured with a calendar application and calendar database. The computer processor and/or application programming interface are configured to identify an event in the calendar database that is associated with a first person, and transmit a request to a social network server and/or a business network server. The request includes an identification of the first person and a user of the mobile communication device. The computer processor and/or application programming interface is further configured to receive from the social network server and/or the business network server information relating to the first person and the user of the mobile communication device.

Providing social context to calendar events

A system may be configured to provide a user interface on a mobile device for a social network having a plurality of functions. The system may include a display, configured to display a representation of each of a subset of the plurality of functions, wherein each function of the subset is implementable upon selection of a representation corresponding to the function by a user and a processor, configured to dynamically generate the subset of the plurality of functions based, at least in part, on a likelihood for each of the functions that the user will select a corresponding representation. The display may be configured to display the subset as dynamically generated.

Likelihood-based personalized  navigation system and method

A method is disclosed for presenting static and dynamic data corresponding to an entity within an application on a mobile device. An entity object is created as part of a data model within the application such that the entity object has a plurality of fields with the plurality of fields having static data corresponding to the entity. Based on the static data corresponding to the entity, dynamic data corresponding to the entity is received into the entity object from at least one of a plurality of applications executable within the mobile device. The static and dynamic data from the entity object corresponding to the entity is displayed simultaneously within a user interface of the application in a single presentation view.
